The free options are the return transport of your car from Europe I was always miffed why they included that on the public facing page. The paid options are your costs.

Both were the best vacations an adult could have. It’s a shame what Porsche has turned into with their $200k base 911’s. One of the main reasons I bought my first mid-engine V8 Ferarri. I sold my 28k mile pts 991.2 touring and bought a andial 930 and 488 GTB for less than I sold the GT3 for, a car I loved and one of six 991.2 tourings I’ve owned but things have gotten out of control. Aircooled turbos and water cooled NA’s will always be my passion and I’ll have another non PTS 991.2 always but seriously **** Porsche $400k for a 992.2 neutered GT3 is simply not worth it.

I thought the freebies were the transfers internally from Germany to the respective collection point, but either way it's an absurd option. However, the off the record consensus is you need to select which one you want along with the cost thing to cement your interest in that location...especially if you want Leipzig because you're essentially telling them, "hey, I don't need to add to the impacted Stuttgart schedule." Of course, that's probably different given the new setup. Cost wise, between ED and price of the cars, it's so sad how crazy they've all gotten. I was hoping I could ED a 992.2T and get one go at a 911 and keep the car to about $150k, but that's now $175k and by the time I'd be doing (Late-summer 2027 or 2028 depending on end of 992 production), it'll easily be $200k. There are multiple other cars at that price that I can gladly drive. I actually think the GTC4Lusso T w rear-drive and a V8 is slept on and if they consistently dip below $150k I'll snag one...and drive it daily!

Absolutely grateful I went down this road when I did and lucked out into getting a cancelled ED spot in the heat of the peak with a brand new Turbo S

What a **** show now and tons of extra costs.

Looks like you only get insurance for 2 weeks now??? At least that is what I saw on the config? And Zuff is 9k cdn LOL.

Like a user above said, ED is about the best trip/vacation you can do as an adult.

Been dreaming of doing ED again, but with the cars coming out and the costs etc, its just seem further and further away.

Come on, man! You could get a low-option 911T for the price of what your Turbo S was. Get out there and get it!

this is accurate.

i love traveling and have been to over 30 countries, the ED was the best trip I have done with a well planned itinerary that I worked on for about 4 months.

yes it is more expensive now, yes it is still well worth it if you have never done it before. if you have done it do Leipzig for 3k, if i get a chance to do it again that's what I will do.

When I click Zuff it says 15 days of ins and registration.

If I click Leipzig it doesn’t mention this limit.

Did they only limit Zuff??

Man if they limit it to 15 days now this is crappy.

You don't need to do ED to have a phenomenal trip. You can easily rent a great car, especially in Munich. A couple of years ago I rented a convertible BMW M850i and did over 30 alpine passes. It was one of the best trips and I've done ED twice as well. Yes, it's nice to do it with your own Porsche but you also worry a lot more. If you'll keep the car for years, decades, then I see why it would make sense to you, but if you will just trade it in before the warranty is out, you can just as well rent a Porsche in Munich or Stuttgart. You'll also save a ton on money.

For me, nothing beats picking up the car you meticulously built for months on the config, at the factory and driving it around Europe.

I’ve done it twice and don’t disagree. But with these prices, I no longer see value in it. For these reasons, I’m out.

This. Life’s too short not to, at least once.

Hello all. First post here, and this is the first thread I pulled up on European Delivery. Reading this thread, I'm hoping that there is an option other than ED to receive my car in country. Are there any other active-duty service members stationed in Germany that have ordered direct from the factory, or a dealer. Is ED primarily a stateside program only?

I'm about to start my mid-life crisis and looking for any pointers on ordering from within Germany.

Yes.
@jashearer was or is working in Germany and did ED IIRC. Maybe he could help.
