Default Hmmm

I ordered my car last month and was offered Euro delivery. My sa called me last week to tell me there were exciting new changes but I didn't get to hear what they are yet. 6k? 🤔

It's a lot, but if you're spending $200k on a 911 and want that once in a lifetime experience, it's still worth it. At that price though, pay for extra insurance and spend a month there if you can.

I have a real feeling this is due to dealers “buying cars with shill buyers” and sending SA and GM’s to pu. The GM I delt with to get ED told me he’s done ED 6 times and I was like WTF?

That sounds right. I think it was the fee to bring the car over to the Munich ED drop-off location.

Not to me. I've done it twice but at $6,000, I'd rather rent a car or maybe do Leipzig.

Wow, that sounds like serious abuse.

Yes, that’s how I remember it.

It would be nice if they did. Tbh, I’m afraid even though I’ve signed the ED docs they’ll come back and say mines $3k. Car was supposed to be done yesterday but now it’s pushed back to Tuesday. Who knows. For a first timer, especially on a custom 911, I’d still pay the the $6k or at least the $3k for Leipzig.

For a repeater, just do Leipzig. $3k is about even on what a one week rental would be right now through Porsche. And, your personal car is always better than a rental.

I would do Sixt. Much cheaper. Also, no break-in period and no babying or worrying. Of course I like ED, but if it gets out of hand expensive, then I'd be out.

I like sixt and always use them when renting in Germany but for a Porsche you’re better off through Porsches deal. Last I looked a 911 was 2450 euro for a week and includes two drivers with an excess of 2500 euro. A 911 through sixt is closer to 4k. E Porsche you do have to pick up and drop off at same place and on a weekday.

You're right it's cheaper than I thought. But, I just looked at it and it's within a $100 of each other for 6 days. That's with a second driver, but I won't need that. I think if I went to Stuttgart, I'd do Porsche but it's cheaper and easier for me to fly into Munich or Frankfurt. Depends if I feel like going to Stuttgart to pick it up.

so the rumors were true, they are charging more money for Stuttgart now. if i was to buy another brand new Porsche I would probably opt for Leipzig on the next one just to get a different experience and i probably wouldn't want to pay 6k for Stuttgart again.

with that said if you have never done it, it's amazing and well worth the 6k for a first timer. i think it's a must do for any big Porsche fan.

jeeze this pricing is nuts. When I saw Sonderwunch, i thought oh, well maybe its now like a multi day experience that was truly customized. Like a black forest run with AP with you in your new car and him in a GT3, haha. But having done both locations, $6,000 for the standard Zuff experience is crazy. I have it selected on my Club Coupe, but at the old pricing. I hope they honor that. There are a lot of ways they could discourage customers from picking up cars and not driving them. Price shouldnt be the lever as its unlikely to work.

It's yet to be seen what "range of available options" means and the entire thing is only half day, so that hasn't changed.

I've asked before and don't think I've gotten a response . . . Why would someone pay for a Porsche ED and not drive the car? I know that it was done back in the day when BMW was giving 6% discounts for EDs, but Porsche ED sure ain't that.
