Porsche still doing ED, or permanently cancelled?

ED should be ongoing/on. mine is scheduled for late next week.
When I requested ED in the summer they only replied with 1 possible dates before the end of the year, and then Feb/March 2023. I was told because of delivery language (English delivery was only offered 1/day?).

Did 3 Euro deliveries last year.
Each experience worse then the last.
The first for 2023 just got cancelled, no explanation.
I recommend renting a car when going to Europe unless you’re completely flexible on dates with less then two weeks notice, or don’t care if it gets cancelled completely.
I think there are no more slots available for 2023, so doesn’t matter much.
Mercedes I think still has their program going but never experienced it.

I guess at least Porsche is still trying.
It’s part of the Porsche experience, I hope they get back to their pre 2020 groove, when we could pick and choose dates, shortly after the car was built.
I’m not sure why I got cancelled and asked them to reconsider, we will see.
I guess the car gets here quicker without ED, and can’t wait to get the car.

That is pathetic that they are charging... every dealer in the country really shouldn't be trying to stop this... All it does is make a more sticky client. Those that go to ED are far more likely to come back and buy again, thats why Porsche does it!!

From what I've heard, when a dealer does ED, there's plenty more paperwork to do and the dealer pays Porsche HQ like $3k or something. But in return they get an additional allocation.
Offering ED was quite popular during the height of the pandemic since an additional allocation is well worth the $3k and some paperwork. Seems like the dealers now are bringing that cost down to the consumers -- maybe in today's market it's not as valuable?

Porsche should really go to a program that gives a new owner a similar Model in Europe from the Porsche Drive program which is much easier to schedule and therefore easier to build your reservations around as well. When you do a delivery at an Experience Center they have you drive the same model but not your brand new car out on the track.
we had our ED reservation canceled twice last year and I finally just reserved a 911 cabriolet and we had a great time and maximum liability was $2500 and when I had to park in odd places and down in dingy underground garages I was glad I did not have my new $170,000 car I had to leave behind in these less than ideal places. And they do charge $500 to $1,000 for Experience Center. Porsche could give you a 50% discount to rent a car for up to the year after your new car is delivered. Then European buyers could do the same here in this country or in fact any country that has a Porsche dealer in the Drive program
