While Dubber and I chatted after dropping the car off to the valet, they stalled my car out twice in a row. No harm but I felt bad for the guy.

I suspect they are anticipating the supply chain issues and other probelms going into the winter with Putin. ED just amplifies the issue of a delayed build.

Easier not to promise the customer to have it build by a date certain which is part of the ED program.

Hard to blame them but also sad to hear

Hope it's only temporary if true, but also as you alluded to easy understand why... just look at any delivery thread and see the delays & changes jerking the estimated dates around

is this official? Curious about the source… very sad to hear though. Based on volume that’s likely 1 per two months for Canadians.

Buying an ordered Porsche these days requires a lot of patience. Adding special wishes such as European Delivery requires even more. Technically, European Delivery is an option you or anyone can choose. The reality is most order demands are unfulfilled, and if and when you receive an official allocation, any available Euro Delivery slots could be many months beyond the anticipated build date. So it is safe to say only those with the most patience will be able to pull off Euro Delivery.

You are absolutely correct. PTS+CXX+ED=17 months for me. Delivery is next week.

Thanks for the update. I am willing to wait. Only question is the rear seat is legal in terms of car accident insurance in Germany. I will bring my 3 years daughter.

Yes, no problem in Germany with child car seats. You can either buy one in Germany or locally as long as they are isofix. Here are some.

It just depends on when you get your allocation. Dealer needs to give you one with enough lead time for PTS, CXX and ED. PTS requires 4 months, ED about the same, CXX (depending what you are doing is fine regardless).

My example was allocation assigned end of November, PTS lock date in January, ED date selected in Feb, non paint specs locked in March, car built in April, available for ED early June but I did end of June. I had CXX as well.

It has gotten worse now, so yeah will take longer and some stuff isn't even available.
