Default European Delivery going away?

I noticed that Porsche removed the option off of the configurator for ED a couple of days ago and then Nick comes out with this video. I hope this is not the case.

Anybody have any insight?

Just heard the same thing..unbeleivable.

-Other manufacturers have this program ...and this seems to be a sudden decision even affecting people who were already on the accepted list. Apparently there will be getting some kind of rental or something.
No announcements, nothing...

I have corresponded with PCNA and they said they believe it is temporary only.

On other forums, I understand that it is a legal issue which supports your rumor.

I am hoping it is temporary too..they have just spent a lot of money revamping Zuffenhausen for ED. ..I have planned a Panamera Shirt Turismo for next June so an cautiously hopeful that the problem will be solved.

Hoping to do an European Delivery in Apr 18. Queried my dealership a week ago and no response yet. Porsche seems to have gone dark. This should be a simple answer, its either cancelled or its on a temporary hold. Very frustrating!

Did he say what the fix was or the specifics of the problem?

BMW and Mercedes, from what I hear, don’t seem to be affected. Curious as to what the issue really is.

I have been advised to take local delivery here as they think delay may be long. Will ship the car back on Canadian plates. I have done this before Not cheap though.

I am in the same boat. Originally confirmed for European Delivery in the first half of April. The dealer assured me that they will either clear up the situation or give me a loaner. But I haven't heard back for a few weeks.

Spoke with my dealer today and they said my order still shows ED in early April - for Leipzig.

"... I did check on the European Delivery and it still shows that it is slotted for that. Not sure why the website is showing that it is down but yours is definitely in there..."

Hoping this is the case - bucket list item to do ED on a 911.

Porsche will honor your agreement with them I am sure. Worst case is that they will give you another 911 to drive around Europe. It's not the same though. I've done two EDs and there is nothing like driving your own car around Europe.

I totally agree on the bucket list item. I am planning two more. I have a big bucket.
