I typically take one of my "muscle cars" to local car shows, but in December I brought the Porsche. See pic on page 8:

I was mildly surprised at the (positive) reaction. I guess attendees are bored of the "same ole thing" (how many Hemi's, 69 Camaro's and custom PT Cruisers can one take?).

So...thinking about getting a group of Porsche's together for the next show, Sunday, Apr. 22, 2007 - 11:00am ~ 4:00pm, Pompano Beach, Sample & Turnpike. According to the organizers, we'll need 10 cars from the same marque to reserve a row.

This show is great. Large variety of cars & vendors. Plenty of shade. Indoor shopping mall on premises, complete with two food courts, bathrooms, shopping. $20 pre-entry gets you a $15 Hess gas card, $10 food voucher (for the food court) and trophies/cash awards (If you take advantage of the gas card and food voucher alone, you'll be $5 ahead).

I got my seats! These Recaro Toplines are amazing! These have a custom leather that cost as much as the damn seats, but they are soooooooooooooooooooo great.

Nice! (I thought Sasquatch leather would be a little coarser...).

I assume they are electric. Do they plug right up to the Porsche harness? I had to fab something for my connector.

Danny - no clue - I saw the harness and immediatley was Very Glad that FVD was doing the installation. There were what seemed like 47,000 wires. (FYI - Free Range Sasquatch are very soft - they hang out in South Beach drinking Smoothies, schmoozing supermodel wanna-beees.)

(Kinda funny we have to scrape to get 10 Porsche's to show up at a car show...if this were California, there'd be a waiting list!).

On March 24, the Cheetah in Hallandale is hosting a car show. Now THAT could be interesting.

well, if you guys are there, then I guess I have to go too.
Anyone got a suggestion for tires? I need new rears *Potenza SA2-, 285/30 18") Champion charges $344 per tire - plus instalaltion. If I get them onlone at Tire rack, who can I take them to for a safe, ding-free instalaltion?

Contact Richard Danvers Porsche repair by I-95, between Pembroke and Hallandale Beach Blvds. He should be able to install your tires, plus Tire rack will ship them directly to him for you.
