This track is deceptively difficult... Need to put some work in before the race tonight. I'm just trying to finish this week.

New patch release out today too. Positional tracking enabled for Rift users.

IMO tire wear is going to be the bigger issue. Really works that driver's front.
Hopefully that patch improves things for me some this week... New card isn't in the budget right now.

I couldn't find a setup that felt good, I ducked out as opposed to ruining someone's race.

That was a little bit brutal for the experienced guys LOL

Never really felt 100% comfortable. Car felt great last Sunday, but tonight I just couldn't get a handle on it. Many many bobbles, so I'm not surprised I eventually "lost it". Came close quite a few times.

And Tony - the Rift lets me get niiiiice and clooooose. No really. I feel MUCH more comfortable running tight on guys with the Rift than I did without. Depth perception is a wonderful thing!

haha that explains how you were so close without tapping me.

Tom - sorry for the tap coming onto the front straight. I didn't know which way to go so I just went straight, unfortunately right into you. hope it didn't damage your car.

I ran almost full downforce tonight ... I wasn't all that fast but I felt comfortable lap after lap... Mind you I'm never fast...lol.

Not looking forward to mid Ohio next week... A lot of blind corners where the car gets very light... I find it very tricky....

I was off in 4 on the 2nd lap. First time ever off there. After that, my car was toast.

I really enjoyed the race last night... Had some good battles and was able to execute some nice, clean passes into 1... Running top 5 for awhile. I need to work on not getting out of control and driving in my mirrors after executing a pass though, that's two weeks in a row that I've crashed a few corners after making a decent pass. Learning some really valuable racecraft.

I've developed that same problem. With someone in my mirrors I start worrying about them and missing brake markers. When my eyes are focused forwards, I can drive pretty well, but last night proved to me that I need to do more races to keep my emotions in check. My last spin was when I saw that Tony was losing a couple seconds a lap to me and I was within range of catching him by the end for first place. Pushed too hard and lost the back end in a greedy spin.

Oh that was you, I thought it was Andy. No problem at all, it was the best thing to do when we bottled up on the entry to the straight and my car was fine. I started dropping internet connection leading to my off and then full disconnection after I repaired and turned a couple more laps.

It was but don't sweat it, that's the kind of stuff that happens during practice and quali.

Just so you guys know, I've changed my paint scheme to the Rum Bum car. Not that I will be any better of faster. Beware of that car!
