Ran some modified Sonoma setups and got down to the low 1:22's. Lots of understeer. Some confusion about how to take the left-hander - late, early apex..?

Weather dependant Ive been running low 1:22's 73 deg, and mid 1:23's in 78 degrees. The track was very slick at 78. I ran a Road America set in cooler temps and my COTA setup at higher temps.

I think the left flows better with early apex, but I dont know I would want to run it with a bunch of cars behind me.

I like early apex and then play it as tight as you can with as much throttle as you can. It's surprising how early you can get back on the throttle with an early apex because the exit widens out so much. The corkscrewy thing is tricky too because you have to take a LOT of curbing and get back on the power way earlier than seems reasonable.

My iRacing laptop finally died last week, so I'm going to be out of the action for a while. On the bright side, this gives me a great reason to build a real iRacing setup...Desktop PC, decent video card, triple screens, new wheel/pedals, etc. Hope to get started on it soon.

That's my first ever fastest race lap since we started using the RUF track car. A bit of a low turn out tonight which is a shame because it's such a nice track. It is summer and real racing is upon us.

I think I'm partly to blame for the first lap incidents because the setup I shared didn't have the TC on and that might have screwed some people up. Also my poor start and fight with Andy bunched the pack up behind us and I'm sure contributed to the incident between Edmund and Tom.

I agree. On the inside going up through turn 3 (I think) I got so loose and had to back out so I didn't take out Justin, which bunched everyone up. Hopefully I didn't kill anyone's race last night as I sucked bad! I think I spun 5 or 6 times! Not my best showing.

Unfortunatly when you spun you hit me and took out my front right. it was a long trip back to the pits. Thats why I had so much fuel on board when you cought back up. No biggie, just racing.
