Good race tonight, looking forward to Mid-Ohio. Haven't raced there but I've heard it's a fun track. Sorry to see all the wrecks tonight, I somehow made it through clean (pure luck probably!)

We missed you Tom. Were wondering why you didn't show. It was a great race for the first half. There were a number of lead changes. Ted got the pole and led the first 2 laps with Me, Tony, Jim, and Julian in hot pursuit. I closed on Ted a few times with the draft and made him go defensive, which left us both open to getting caught by the other three. On lap 3 I got a better run onto the long straight and with the draft took the inside. Tony seized the opportunity to sneak by with me, but Ted only had eyes for me and pinched Tony at the apex. Then it was on to the battle with Jim, who caught a whiff of the draft and slowly reeled me in. We had a long side-by-side run up the front straight into T1,T2, T3. That was great, but terribly slow and Julian then blasted past us both on the straight. I hassled Julian for a while yada-yada-yada he wrecked. Jim hassled me, yada-yada-yada then he got wrecked.

Apologies to who I took out going into T3, I dropped 2 wheels off under braking and it came around. Don't understand the physics there I would of thought in the spin it should of still gone straight and not back into traffic.

That said, I think we are all getting better at the starts and I think RA is pretty tough since T1 and T2 really only have one fast line. WG was the same way. Mosport was a little bit better but T2 there was an explosion too, the track is so narrow, and some dude had his wheel turned all the way to the right (rofls...). Mid-Ohio might be better since T1 is pretty wide and folks might get settled before T2??
Honestly, I think the solution to all of this would be the ability for us to have 2 serial races with 2 qualifying sessions, just like on other long race weekends. I wish iRacing would implement that sort of capability. Doesn't Tom Bobbits' Son -- also a rennlister -- work for iRacing?

Standings are updated here: http://www.danlisa.com/scoring/seaso...season_id=3129
The midfield is very tight and there are a lot of up and down moves from week to week.
David gets to wear next weeks "Pink paint of shame".

I think that makes sense. 2 wheels in the dirt won't have any braking force while the two on the pavement will slow that side of the car down and create a moment that will yaw the car towards the pavement that has braking grip. I think it's harder to catch in the sim because it hooks up as soon as the front outside comes back on track it shoots you across before you feel it.
