Ok cut a 48.1.

45s? Sheezus. Nice lap! I have some more practicing to do, apparently.

The conditions were perfect. It was definitely not just me, but the laps were flying by!

Yea this afternoons session was fast, this evenings session was more realistic but just depressing as I keep seeing my fastest lap from this afternoon and getting no where near it (~3 sec diff). Have to look how to resent that :-)

I can only run 45s if there is no bus stop chicane on the back straight, so that is flying and I cannot match it.

Like I said, the car was lightning fast, I could only get 1:49 tonight. But it was really fun!

Way better than me. I think I was at like 1.50, but I am sure my line is terrible. Too late for me to set something up and rearrange my living room.

Hi All,

Seems almost every one lost about 3 seconds a lap in the evening session. Most of us put it to the higher out side air temperatures. Let me start by saying that i have no real racing experience on a track ( I've only done half a dozen or so DE weekends on street tires) But even if we were down on power because of the higher Temps, wouldn't we have more grip in the tires ? I noticed my shift points were at about the same places but could not maintain the same speeds in the corners ( 6 in particular, the left hander after the carrousel ).

I was in the low 1:48's in the afternoon (not bad for me) but couldn't break 1:51 last night. By race night i'm hoping to get in the 1:47's and maybe (hey, i can dream) the mid to high 1:46's. that should put me mid pack in the race.

Is there any way to KNOW what the temperature will be at race time ?

George (SpeedBump)

New to iRacing but I have 2 questions:
Which car would best replicate my Cayman S race car? I've been learning iRacing with the Mazda but would like to get a closer 'feel' of the mid-engine/race suspension/moderate aero of my Cayman
And, can I add Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant? I don't see it (or the Cayman) listed for purchase.
Thanks - amazing simulator.

Mclaren

Just take off some aero and set the fuel map to low to limit hp

That's the beauty of the 'realistic weather' option. Nobody knows exactly what it will be like until race time. On race day though, we will all be under the same conditions. It seems like the Glen lap times are heavily influenced by weather.
