The Cup is slower than the Race so that makes sense.

 

Best 9 of 13 sounds good.

I drove the track car at the Glen today and the gearing seemed different. Some of the gears seemed longer, or they added weight.

 

I thought the track was an gt3rs
And the cup was a Cup car... With slicks and no abs


The new AWD is out too... Anyone try it?

I thought the same thing initially. Actually, the C-Spec is the '"Cup Car" that runs in IMSA GT3 Challenge, and the Track is basically the 997 R that the big boys run in Grand-Am, etc.

 

The big boys run the GT3RSR. We have something close to the GT3R which is one notch up from the cup (c-spec).

When I said double points for the last race I was sort of kidding. But thinking a little more about it, IF COTA is coming out that would make a great final race. And double points would ensure a great turn out. (my guess is most of us if not all will buy this track on day one of its release)

These are just random thoughts as it's 2:30 am here and I can't sleep. So take it fir what it's worth.

What about having a couple enduros mixed in? Double length with mandatory pit stops?

 

So what did we decide about Sunday? Earlier or Saturday?

I really like this idea.

 

So far nothing has been decided, but I won't make practice Sunday night.

 

I definitely won't make anything Saturday, have a Lemons team meeting. Am free all day Sunday though.

 

We can keep the practice where it's scheduled on Sunday and I'll probably host a practice Monday night. Saturday I really need to nail down some time for my Skippy series.

 

I've seen how double point at the final event, cost me a pro solo championship. Just never liked the idea especially if that is the one race you can't make (I haven't checked but our last event is in the middle of race season so the odds go up a lot for me). We could make one race a bit longer to force pitting like we have in the past.

I'd be up for practice on Sunday at an earlier time. Saturday I'm booked (car prep and UFC).
