The AiM Sports Vimeo channel is good. Some of the simulation racing boards are good, considering Assetto Corse integrates the generation of AiM .drk files from the sim for later analysis. Lots of good insight on "what data means." I'll post a few more after I'm finished at the IMSA weekend.

iRacing does not offer any AiM file export. More correctly, no one (that know of) has built a program to take the output from iRacing and convert it to a .drk or .xrk file format.

iRacing supports unofficially MoTeC through mU and officially integrates McLaren ATLAS, which I think (and half the IMSA DAG's I talked to this past weekend) think is a royal PITA.

So no, iRacing forums are a good place to find out what you want to measure and some info dealing with how to interpret, but there's nothing specific to AiM there.

Want to see what others are analyzing, custom math, charting etc.

I got down the basics, watched the videos.

Just moved up to MXL2 with Race Studio 3, so prepping for it

joe @ tcd runs a workshop from time to time on AIM, i've heard good things about it. in addition to being a good guy, he's a great resource for aim and data in general.

before you consume yourself with data, i would start by figuring out what you want to improve on first. are you interested in brake and throttle consistency? are you finding yourself coasting a lot? are you trying to transition between your controls quicker? figure out what you want to do, then you can find the data to solve the problem

First off, Roger Caddell's stuff is always good. Buried in the "how to" videos are the critical measures to look at and what means what.

Matt Romanowski published a cool little flash card with "good" and "bad" example screenshots of individual measures.

James Colburn in the Pacific Northwest has some REALLY good YouTube videos.

John Block's Auto-Ware online seminars may make your head hurt, but they'll provide a shortcut to some good maths (formulas that leverage RAW information to good, objective measure of heretofore subjective measures) as does Bob Knox's book (if I had to have only one book), Chris Brown's book and Jorge Segers' book (the first one is fine for club level drivers).

I did some webinars for Traqmate that go through the what, how and why methodology of a typical, quick and very effective between-session analysis. You could adapt and manipulate the RSA software to show the same things.

Honestly, reviewing the information and crafting an individualized plan to move forward is so dependent on personal factors (strengths and weaknesses of basi skill executions, how intimate track knowledge affects the ability to commit to all three control inputs, etc) that my business is all at-the-track or remote consultation, so for that reason, it's hard to know what will be of best use to you until we know your shortcomings!

Still, there is a LOT of good information out there. Don't limit yourself to AiM-specific training resources, either. MoTeC (especially the sim crowd) and others show you what you need to know and AiM windows, for the most part, can duplicate those approaches. Good luck!
