Default AIM SOLO 2 DL on 981 CS no ECU Data

To AIM Experts,

I have tried various configs to try to retrieve ECU data pulled into the Solo 2 DL. Is there anything out of the ordinary on these setting that could be causing me some issues? The Solo2 is wired directly into the ECU using the 7 PIN connector with CAN+ and CAN-. Not to sure on Frequency settings and set them back to default for the ECU settings for the 981CS. Thanks, Gregg

Should be going to yellow/red-yellow/brown twisted pair, anywhere in the car but best in the main harness below the fuse box.

That's right.

Is it an MR car? With the gateway? It still should work.

Tell you what.

Please load the 991_911 CAN (not OBDII) config to your S2DL.

Brake pressure will appear on BP4.

ProCoach,

That did it.... The car is a non MR CS. Here are the new settings. Any other pointers as I get my smarty cam 3 installed and run a test?

Go to the SmartyCam Steam, make sure it’s set to SC3 on the top, use pedal position for throttle, brake pressure 4 for brake and fill in the rest, save it and send it.

Threads like this never cease to amaze me. Peter (ProCoach), you're a treasure for us mere mortals. I hope the OP realizes how many days he might have spent trying to resolve his issue without your help.

No, but you're very kind to say so!

I just know whereof the OP speaks. I became one of the largest dealers for a decade just so I could figure it out! If I can save people a little time or make it a little easier to turn all the information collected into actionable tasks for the next session, or for longer, so much the better.

The other thing that is good is that when I hung my coaching hat on both the client and I looking at the objectively derived and collected information TOGETHER, and TOGETHER deciding the next step forward, it was me putting equipment in clients cars, because it was rare that people had this stuff.

Now, I think data and video is nearly ubiquitous in club racing, time trials and even HPDE, so the focus has changed. How can I and others help drivers coach themselves with this stuff? It's so much fun, still!
