Default Vbox HD2: Cannot Get CAN Inputs on New Scene for 718

Hoping someone can help figure out what I'm doing wrong and why I'm not getting any input from the CAN channels.
  1. So I created a new scene for my 718 Cayman GTS using my old scene from my GT3 (Peter Krause created it for me, so I wanted to use it again).
  2. I uploaded the new vehicle database for the 718 Cayman from the Racelogic website, checked the CAN channels I needed; even updated the steering angle Math Channel.
  3. I can get the ne scene uploaded to the HD2 unit
  4. When I go to use the Vbox Video App only the videos work - no CAN inputs work. Now are they supposed to? I think they did, but please correct me if that is not the case with the Vbox Video app
  5. And when I hit Record on the unit and drive around the block, then check the video none of the CAN channel gauges work
  6. I double checked the wires to the CAN high and low wires. They seemed to be connected/touching
What other step(s) am I missing??? I looked throughout the Vbox manuals online and cannot find anything. Once you have the scene and the channels configured, it is just supposed to work?

TIA,
Matt

Send me a DM. I can help. I think your elements are not associated with the new CAN template. If you still have my email, send the scene to me and I’ll see if I can fix it.

Thanks Peter! Sending scene via email.

All of the gauges are assigned a parameter from the list of channels, if that's what you meant by elements associated to CAN template. If not, then I'm lost.

For others, I've connected the white to CAN High Orange/Black and the blue to CAN Low Orange/Brown

I sent you a note but please reverse the leads. HD2 blue to orange/black, HD2 white to orange/brown of the same pair.

Nice work on the scene! Just add a second decimal place to combined g on the lower right.

Thanks!

I’ll switch the leads. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try a another twisted pair in that bundle. I know with the GT3 it took a few tries.

BINGO! Found the twisted pair. Got everything. The video is a little choppy (not sure why - will try tomorrow) and the steering wheel needs adjusted, but I'm getting them all.

Thanks for your help Peter!!!

Different messages on a different CAN. Good.

Is it jerky on the WiFi preview? Or from the card?
