Hello, I had my first track weekend using my AIM Solo DL2. During the laps, I was monitoring ECT, Oil Temp, and Oil Pressure. I notice oil pressure well above 100psi. I finally got around to pulling the data from my AIM, which shows spikes of Oil Pressure up to 120psi. That cannot be right, can it? 987.2 9A1 engine. Any suggestions on how to get an accurate feed, or does the 987/997.2 oil pressure not able to be accessed accurately through the CAN? Lots to learn!

Here is a closer look at just the oil pressure that I am questioning. Range is between 40psi - 122psi which seems very high to me.

Your data is correct. Every other 987.2 DFI engine reads the same.

Thank you @Frank 993 C4S . I did do a search and only found threads about LOW oil pressure, but nothing about high pressure readings!

New to the solo 2 dl. How are you monitoring oil temp and pressure? I don't see them in the set up parameters. Separate sensors?

Where to find that ecu setting? I only see 997_987MK2_OBD2 under Porsche.

The 997/987 Mk2 CAN stream is the Siemens ECU stream. Sorry for the big pics.

I'm running a 987.1 with a 997.1 C4S 3.8 motor. I'm in the process of installing an AIM MXL and I know CAN data won't cut it for oil pressure and temperature. What I'm trying to figure out is what sensors/sending units to use and where people typically install them? I'm assuming you can run at least the oil pressure sendor where the factory OP switch is currently? As for temp would you run an adaptor to connect two senders off that same port? Or run one on each side of the head? Additionally looking to track down the standard thread size/pitch. Any help is greatly appreciated!
