Default Garmin catalyst question

Hello, I have a Garmin catalyst I’ve used it a couple of times and I have not had any feedback during the session. I have it directly hooked up to my helmet and I had been hoping for some direct audio feedback. Is there a setting that I need to allow for this to occur or does it just occur via the Garmin catalyst software without any special input from me. I have enabled the sound and the sound does work with my helmet so that part I know is functional. Thanks for the help

Under audio setting make sure to select "Advanced Race Coach" in the audible prompts menu. It defaults to "Race Coach". Enjoy!

I have had difficulty using my Stilo helmet's earphones with a direct cable connect to the Catalyst. The volume is too low. I have tried numerous blue tooth headphones (bypassing the helmet) and most of them were unusable. The volume is too low to overcome the car's noise. I found the best solution for me is the Airpod Pro with noise cancelling.

I have not had luck with Stilo, Sparco or other in helmet earpieces without some sort of amplification.

Not loud enough. Recommend the Race-Com Bluetooth receiver for the Catalyst to earpiece equipped helmets.

Best solution bar none for pre-wired helmets with earspeakers.

Bob and Nadine Saville may have them, too. https://naroescapemotorsports.com/?g...4aAoB3EALw_wcB

I just ordered one as well. Let's see if these are better than running around after each session trying to fine my Airpods!

When I was selling equipment, I actually sold a dozen or so of these before the RaceCom came out. It worked for some people, not loud enough for others. Never a problem with the RaceCom device.

Just received the RaceCom you recommended. It works perfectly and sound levels are more than adequate. Seems well made and should last a while. Thank you for the tip.

My pleasure! I think the audio feedback given in real time is a feature not frequently used in the Catalyst because of the difficulty in hearing the low audio output. The Track Com is a great solution to that need.
