PLEASE!!!
I just made a thread here https://rennlist.com/forums/data-acq...l#post16783264

I think it's best to do this stuff publicly so everyone in the community gets help with it, versus DM'ing or emailing instructions to the few. If this doesn't help, post your problems in the thread and we'll get it figured out. One of the big goals of the beta is to make sure the user interface works well for people and that AiM can understand how their users are using these features. It's a very important goal for them!

It’s a beta. It’s evolving and will continues to evolve. Matt’s way is one way, not everybody’s way. It’s not simple and it’s not totally reliable right now in the way it imports video files.

I’ll post publicly my workflow when I’m convinced it exhibits repeatable and reliable behavior. The beta was JUST released. AIM Italy is deluged with big reports, requests for fixes and other ease-of-use and reliability improvements that will make it better. People can dabble now, but it does need to be closer to the full featured software in RSA now to get good use out of it, in my opinion.

For folks who might be using this or watching along at home, another video on the RS3A Beta

Also note that they have been updating and changing things and just released a new version of the beta. It's updated just like the public production (white) version by clicking on the cloud icon, downloading, and installing any new versions.

I really like where RS3A is headed. Any idea when the full feature set will be added and it'll move from beta to production?

Based on how long it took to get here ?

There are a lot of components of the software that are near to ready like math channels and segment reports, but there is no set date on those things.

No, but I'm glad to have what we have. Good stuff.

Roger just added my data to the links in the video description for anyone that wants some (completely amazing) data and video use in RS3. It's the same data Emiliano was using in both webinars.

Hahaha! Just as long as it works. Of course, it needs to work with user data, not just your sample data...

I've put a ton of data through it and found problems, had them fixed, etc. When I was at AiM in Milan a year ago, I gave them a ton of data and video, along with more at PRI. I've run data from 7 systems/cars this year as well all with only operator error causing problems. But, as they have said, you have to put this out for people to see what is happening. There are so many hardware, software, firmware, and configurations that they can't possibly test them all even with a full time group doing it. So, this is a way to have people test it out. Emiliano, Enrico, and the team are doing amazing work.

The explanation on super shrink was great today and made a ton of sense on how and why they are doing it the way they do.

It is certainly one way to do it.
