AiM released the shift light module!

Ah thanks. I had the full-blown SLM on my ADL2 and now have the integrated one on my C187. Both version let you show pretty much any condition for any channel, so I wasn't sure if the AIM was as robust.
I'll be positing up some pictures of my C187 project soon...one I am actually closer to completion!

I’ve added an SLM on my C125 because I added wheelspeed sensors and wanted to practice my braking target pressures as well as practice slip. The problem with the MoTeC is that it’s infinitely configurable. The good thing is that it is infinitely configurable.
The AiM is good to extend shift lights, but that’s all right now.

I have an AiM Solo DL (not 2). I gather that this can't drive the AiM shift light module (either they won't do it even if they could or they can't due to incompabability).
So, if that is the case, what are alternatives and how do they rank? I want to make sure I shift before the analog gauge gets to redline and don't want to have to be looking down all the time. I like the idea of something sitting on top of the dash (although would like some sort of mounting mechanism that isn't going to make my dash all tatty looking.
Here's what I have seen:
- Ecliptech - mentioned in this thread: https://ecliptech.com.au/shift-p2/
- Cartech - https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?RecID=32038
- wire takes RPM signal but I don't know how to get that directly. It says there is another module one can buy but that module (to OBDII) effectively doubles the price
Others I found w/google search - didn't really read up on all
- https://www.petreldata.com/product/s...ear-indicator/
- https://www.rgtracetech.com/shift-light
- https://www.motorsparkdevelopments.c...ed-shift-light

Correct, no go on the SLM with the S2DL.
I have heard of people being happy with both the Ecliptech and Cartech. Cartech products are normally pretty nice from my experience.

I sold dozens of the Ecliptech when they were offered with another data system between 2009-2014, good units.
I like the DRE from the UK the best, hands down, now.
The Solo DL is still a great logger and is still supported for service by AiM.
