GPS lap insert problems
So this function has been working for me until recently.
I just went to the track yesterday and I am analyzing data today. I no longer have the GPS LAP INSERT function? It just blank and the gps map when you click this function just show a line? Did I do something? Any clues?
This happened once before and it went away when I updated the firmware. I just checked, I'm using the latest firmware. I'm on solo DL
THX
See attached pics
First one is what happens when I open up GPS lap insert
Second pic is when I press the gps select track

Sorry I didn't answer last night. I was on my phone and the photos weren't showing up.
I think you have a session that recorded while driving to the track. That starts on the highway based on the lat/long shown there. I'm guessing this data file is your drive to the track (or somewhere else). Double check the time stamp to see if it was the right date/time for your track session.
As a check, open another known good session and see if the GPS Lap Insert would work in with it. I don't see any problems using it on my install of 2.56.12

Lap inserts works with a session I recorded at the same track two weeks ago
Funny you mention the drive to the track
I actually had the entire Solo off on the way to the track
I usually keep it on lol

What I meant to say is, how do I ensure that the GPS captures so that I can do GPS lap insert with my old data. I need to use GPS lap insert so that I can compare my data from different tracks days to see if Im improving etc....

You shouldn't have to use GPS lap insert all the time.

Periodically, it can pay to use GPS Manager on a Solo/Solo DL, wipe it clean and install all new tracks and ONLY the tracks you're going to.

I was messing around this pm on GPS manager . I was trying load shapes into the track maps and found that several of my gpk files did not load. These are the same ones that I could not do GPS lap inserts on. So my guess is for some unknown reason my solo is not recording the gps file correctly thus I have a weird GPk file... I did what you guys suggested and loaded new maps so hopefully it will stop doing that. I did reach out to AIM so hopefully we can comeup with a solution.

Just to update the thread
I spoke with Mike at AIM SPORTS
Basically it confirmed what you guys have said
The solo recorded my drive up to the track so that is what is showing on gps lap insert
The solution is to either don’t power on the solo until I get to the track or
Down load the track laps individually so as to exclude the first lap
Thanks for all the input

Did you download the whole event into one file? If so, try to disable the drive lap and then do the lap insert.
If you didn't clear the DL, then just download the data again and don't select that lap.
