Yeah, that guy has some horrible advice and technique BUT the really sad part is the guy is sharing this advice under the title "expert" and people are buying into it.

So no, knowing what I know now I would not let this guy wash my little Red Wagon!

why not just hose and mitt the dash and seats while everything is open.

I wouldn't let that guy wash my porch, let alone my Porsche! What a moron. I'm glad my Bentley is 409 resistant and the leather is 'wash and wear'. Why not just drive into a lake and let it soak 1st?
