Default Clear Bra removal

Who can tell me exactly how to do this? Is there anyone here who does this for a living and can tell me what works, what tools and techniques work well.

My front bumper bra got a paint stain on it. Three pro's around here in CT want $6-700.00 to replace it. They all complain taking off the existing 3M clear bra is a pain. Is it really that hard??? The front bumper has all OEM paint, never resprayed.
Thanks

Yes, it sure CAN be a huge pain to remove the clear bra material because of all the adhesive which is left behind.

Now I have removed the bras and had very little to almost no adhesive remaining but then again we have done removals where there is tons of adhesive left behind. It mainly depends on when the bra was installed (as in years or recently)? There is also a right way and a wrong way in how to remove it, in terms of how it's pulled off.

How long has it been on there?

18 months Anthony. 3M says pull it off on a 45 degree angle and any adhesive remaining use (of course) 3M Adhesive remover. Heat from a blowdryer or heat gun can help. Sounds easy but.....was wondering in the real world what kind of project this could turn into.

The key to removal, beyond the 45 degree angle, is to try and do a continuous pull so as to not let the film slack back down.

Set it out in the sun for an hour or so and then pull off, starting at an edge. You can get an adhesive remover from Lowes or Home Depot....called Xzylene. Same as 3M's.

Thanks Anthony. Guess I'll pull it off and then get quotes again.
