Unlike other pad washing systems, the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer works with all polishers. The grid insert’s large diameter allows pads of all sizes to make contact, no matter how big the orbit. The DeWalt 849, the Makita BO6040, the Porter Cable 7424, and even the Cyclo can be used with this pad washer! The opening of the pad washer is adjustable to accommodate any pad size and polisher.

The Grit Guard insert’s height is adjustable. Simply press your polisher down until the pad is in the water and making contact with the Grit Guard. The grid insert is supported by springs so no manual adjustment is needed. Just press down and turn the polisher on at its slowest speed. The downward force pumps water upward to help clean the pad.



The Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer includes the pad washer complete with Splash Guard, the Grit Guard Extension, a Gamma-Seal Lid, and a 4 oz. spray bottle of Pad Renewing Solution.

The Grit Guard Extension can be strategically placed on the Grit Guard Insert to provide more agitation on heavily soiled areas of the pad. Position the Grit Guard Extension in the middle of the grid to clean the center of the pad. Position the extension off-centered to clean the outer edge of the pad.

The Gamma-Seal Lid allows you to seal the Grit Guard bucket in order to keep dust out, or to store water or pad cleaning fluid for later use. (Some pad cleaning concentrates can be reused several times. This is especially convenient for professional and mobile detailers.) The Gamma-Seal Lid forms a water-tight seal so you can transport the pad washer without spilling its contents.

The Grit Guard Extension provides extra agitation where the pad needs it.

The Grit Guard Extension can be positioned anywhere on the Grit Guard Insert.



The Grit Guard Pad Renewing Solution works with all types of pads and polishing *****. The biodegradable cleaner removes petroleum and water-based car care products from wool fibers and porous foam. Before using the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer, spray the pad with 4-5 spritzes of Pad Renewing Solution. It will help break up oily residues inside the pad as you operate the pad washer.

Not only does the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer wash pads, it dries them! Simply lift the pad out of the water and raise the speed setting slightly. Allow the pad to spin until the excess water has been removed.



Try this advanced drying technique: Remove the Grit Guard Extension from the grid and place it where the Splash Guard lid says “Dry Pad Here”. Operate the polisher while pressing lightly against the Extension in order to dry pads faster.

Hey I know! Nothing against you bud...You are really great and I wish you lived close to me so you can take care of my babies which are in desperate need of a makeover Phil style...
I'm glad you are going to provide a link to them... Maybe they will realize that they would probably sell tons more of this product if they priced it right. Customers this day and age are way more informed and look for value. I personally vote with my wallet when I feel getting ripped off. I simply dont buy

As a pro something like this saves me alot of time.

I paid just about the same price for a different companies version that does not work with the PC. If I ran it over tomorrow with my truck, I would order this one the next day.

Agreed. Saving time is saving money, in the long run.
Also, pads can get expensive. If this product helps extend there lifespan/usabiltiy that also saves money, in the long run.

This may not be an ideal product for an enthusiast that likes to shine up the family cars a couple times per year, however; if your detailing 20 cars per week it may be.

As I work with consumers everyday, I also understand that they vote with their wallets. You must determine your target audience and design/price the product for them.
A bucket may cost $5 but, when you factor in the initial start up cost of engineering, prototyping, patents and licensing, tooling, production, testing, advertising, transportation you will find cost add up quickly.
If they were able to sell one of these to every household in the world, they could sell them for $20 each and make sustainable profits. When you are targeting a defined or small group of buyers your average selling price must be much higher to obtain the same profits. It is a waste of resources to develop and sell a product that wont make money.

There are a 1000 examples where professional will pay more for a product to reduce labor, save time, reduce waste, reduce complaints & call backs...this is one of the products.
