Wax removal from edge of clear bra
I just purchased a used Black 997S that has clear armour on the front and hood. The car had been recently waxed and there is a white line of wax on the edge of the armour. What's the best way to remove this wax?

Man...I am giving away all my secrets on these darn detailing boards
Here is how I tackle this dilemma. I buy a bag of Shish kabob sticks at the grocery store and I carry them with me for all types of cleaning needs. Because they are wood I can take my knife and whittle the points to any shape I need and they are much stronger than toothpicks.
To remove wax build up from the clear bra edge dip the shish kabob stick into some tar/wax remover and then carefully work it along the edge. Make sure you have a nice sharp edge on your stick and try and keep it right along the edge of film. Not so much pressure that you end of lifting the film though, just enough to loosen the residue. You can then wipe it away or use some forced air, like from an aircompressor or the compressed air you get in those cans, to blow away the residue.
Next time when you re-wax only wax up to about an ince away from the edge of the clear bra. When you buff the wax off take your buffing towel and lightly go right up to the clear bra edge and this will carry some wax to cover that one inch part. Or use a wax that doesn't leave any residue behind, like Optimum spray wax. You can also use some blue or green low tack painters tape to mask off the edges.
Hope that helps,
Anthony

Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure I want to try a toothbrush or a wooden stick on the Black paint, I'll try the detailers spray first. This is my first black car I can tell already it's going to be alot of work.

MF towel and liquid works fairly well. When waxing next time, just avoid the edges and it'll save you a lot of work down the line.

I have a similar technique. I use Q-tips. I dip the Q-tip end in Meguiars Quick Detailers and run it across the edge carefully. A pass or two should clear it right up.

Just for future reference to prevent the wax marks use a better wax. p21s (s100) works excellent and never leaves any white chalky marks on the car. It will make your life a lot easier.

I find if you use the P21 wax it does not leave any wax buildup. I apply it by hand and go right over the edge. Don't forget you want to wax the clear bra as it has a clear coat on it and needs waxing. Just buff out with a clean terry towel going across the seam and you will be fine.

I use a soft tooth brush, never used on my choppers, in a cup of hot (tap hot) water and gently scrub the edge. My buddy who has a black 997 does the same and it leaves no scratches. I have a silver 997 so if it left any mircro scratches I may not be able to tell. It works well especially if you have some clay stuck to the darn edge, too. Good luck.
