Now what happened at the dealer.
Had my Cayenne TGT in for it's first service on August 27th. In addition to the service they needed to update the suspension software, for some reason the software update was flawed and the car sat there for almost 2 weeks while Porsche sent out the new software update on Sept 9th. I pick up the car and for the first time opened the passenger front door and it's rubbing on the front fender and no longer aligned properly. What the heck???

Man if dealer had to paint the door but didn’t disclose that is a shady move not expected from a Porsche dealer!

It's impossible to discerne what happened, the clear bra on the door has been altered or re-done. My guy wraps the edges this door now has a crooked cut on the edge. The gap between the fender and door is crooked and looking down from the top the door doesn't line up well with the front fender. Open the door and it rubs the fender thats where the sound comes from. I'm really peeved.

If the door is rubbing on the wing then something has moved , considerably, so not just paint damage.
Is it door that has moved or the wing ?? , if the door has moved forward slightly then the gap at the rear of the door at the B pillar will be larger than it should be.
Ask to see some video footage of the workshop and see if the car is being cosmetically worked on.
Does the App show the vehicle has been moved around a bit outside the dealer facility ?

Curious question….have you approached the dealer with this dilemma? The sooner the better IMO.

It's possible that the mechanic was reversing the car with the doors open and hit something, or opened the doors into the wind and the limiters broke and moved the door mount. Before you go to this dealer, go to an independent body shop and they'll quickly tell you what the problem is.

Not sure what happened but somehow the door got misaligned. No hidden repair work from the dealer. Detailer says nothing had been done to the PPF. Probably some mechanic hanging on the door too much. Taking it in on Friday to see if they can make an adjustment.

I seriously doubt the door mis-aligned itself on its own. Those bolts are factory torqued during production and don't come loose. The Paint Meter idea is the best one. You will find out very quickly if that door was re-painted after a mishap, which would fit in very well with the 2 week downtime it underwent.

Not legal in most states. Even a one party state. You have to be part of the conversation. Look up Lehtos Law on you tube and it might change your mind on a dash cam. Deleting footage might land you in jail.
