Default Bought a 2022 Cayenne preowned, can't delete main profile

hi guys - just got a 2022 Cayenne Coupe from a non Porsche dealer, still under warranty. I added myself as a profile but I would like to delete the previous owner who is the Main Authorized user and apparently has access to my location etc. The car won't let me delete it. How do I get around this?

Do you have a Porsche ID? Did you log in with your ID? Sounds like the previous owner is still logged in.

Suggest you reset to factory settings and use your Porsche ID in the setup assistant in the PCM.

Thank you Schnave, I did log in with my Porsche ID but it just added me as a seconday user profile. It won't let me make it the primary.

Have you tried a factory reset? I wonder if that will delete the previous owner from the PCM.

I'll try that this evening and report back!

One more question - have you added the new Cayenne to your Porsche account? Does it show up in MyPorsche?

I actually just added it to My Porsche yesterday right after reading your post! They said they need to verify it’s mine which takes 1-2 days. Do you think I should wait for that to confirm before doing a PCM reset?

There's an option in the PCM to reset everything and erase all profiles. You might have to dig around a bit to find it.

Yes, I recommend you wait until Porsche verifies your Cayenne. Your PCM setup should then go smoothly.
