Turbo GT Purpose

Turbo GT Purpose
Considering adding a Turbo GT to the stable for a partial daily, after recently driving one. Handling is great for an SUV, interior quality is fantastic. Not a huge fan of the front end, looks similar to other Cayenne's, but lot of other features make up for this in my opinion. Redesign looks better for 2024.
What is everyone's thoughts on longer term value of the Turbo GT? Obviously it is not a 911 or cayman, but it still a GT car, and differentiates itself from other Cayenne models. Most of these will be daily driven, and mileage will be similar to other daily driven vehicles. Starting to see a 20-30K drop with some mileage for the TGT.
Will depreciation be similar to other Turbo(s), GTS etc, or will it retain value better due to it being GT?

While it has been set up by the GT department, at the end of the day it's still a Cayenne. I would expect it to depreciate as such.
I think it's relative scarcity will help it vs. the volume cars but I don't see it being worth MSRP in a few years like a GT3 / GT4 are.

Agree it won't be worth MSRP or anywhere close. Turbo(S) historically have depreciated quite a bit, 7 yr old, 70K mi, 120K off MSRP. Personally I've always been weary of high value daily drivers, too much depreciation for me. Sounds like TGT will do the same.

I love the Turbo GT and the idea of having a high performance family car/SUV/daily
But I can’t get myself to love a $200,000+ car with plastic body cladding
As far as value, no one can answer that with certainty
LFA’s struggled to even sell initially, then they sold used for under msrp and now they’ve skyrocketed
Same goes for Carrera GT’s and other supercars
But an aged SUV with miles? I doubt it…

I completely share this assessment. I am seriously looking at upgrading into the new 24' but like the version before it is the cheap black wheel arches that I just can't get over.

I see the TGT in a similar light as Bentayga and Urus. All Cargurus charts below include all sub-models and trims. Manheim data would be definitive, does anyone have access to Manheim Market Report (MMR) data for Bentayga, Urus and TGT?

The limited exterior colors, plastic body cladding, and likely epic depreciation kill the desirability.
The Urus and DBX 707 are step up in price and the emotion factor. But they're a no go for me due to poor tech and packaging.

The DBX 707 has definitely peaked my interest but also agree on the tech issue for a daily driver. I am waiting to see them depreciate 40% over the next 12 months (like the regular DBX did) to determine if it is worth a trial.

I think a preowned TGT would be a good buy. Good VAG/Cayenne bones, good Porsche dealership presence, good CPO program.
For the rare few TGT-only parts I would be willing to pay the tax. Other parts (oil filters, etc) are garden-variety Cayenne parts.
Bentayga and Urus don't seem worth the downside of potential special part failure and pain for the parts prices.
Bentayga interior isn't special enough and Urus interior is...weird.

I absolutely love the handling and brakes of my GT4 and I wanted something that has space to transport the family I’m a huge fan of the GT division and with 10 piston brakes and sport-car like handling, I feel confident safely driving passengers around (650hp doesn’t hurt either). I don’t sell my cars so resale value is not an issue for me. I plan on driving my 2024 TGT to the ground

100 percent agree in the black trim pieces. One I am looking at, previous owner painted it to match, looks a ton better. The people who have a CTGT, are not going to track it, probably have other cars for that. So PPF after paint and it will hold up.
60-70K off MSRP would be a great entry point, but we're not there yet. May just bite the bullet and pick one up.
Interior of the Urus is very similar to my wife's SQ7/SQ8, wouldn't be able to justify the difference. Don't have any experience with Bentley, other than huge amount of depreciation.
