Default Passenger Screen

Odd question….

is it possible/has anyone attempted to retrofit a passenger screen on a 2023 cayenne?

Not sure if I should wait for 2024 or pull the trigger on a good deal I found for 2023….
personally prefer the interior of the 2023 cayenne, except the 2024 has the passenger screen would be great with all the road trips we do.

thanks in advance!

I'm not sure how well that would work since the whole dashboard layout of the '24 is different and more linear (similar to the 911 interior). Plus, there would be so much functionality needed that the '23 has no provision for, unless the car was "tricked" into thinking that it's part of the PRSE system. But it would still require loads of components that don't currently exist since it's not like it's an option you decided against and now changed your mind. You might as well be asking people if they've tried to retrofit an air fryer into the passenger dashboard area. You know...so that you could whip up a batch of PDAFCW* on the go.

The entire dashboard architecture is different. It would not fit, and the entire dash electronics system is different.

Not a chance.

The entire idea is stupid. The passenger should be giving the driver conversation and interest. Haven’t we all been driving and the passenger in the front was talking on the phone the entire time? It’s rude as hell and I would be offended if they were watching a movie instead of talking to me.

Go ahead, cut up your dash. I'm sure you can find someone to retrofit a working display in there, but I doubt it would integrate nicely with PCM. Better to just hard mount an iPad Pro.

There is no way it would integrate with the old electronics, unless you are a super level programmer
