I have an allocation for a GTS. I’m wavering on a couple of options but have include all the performance options (PDCC, RAS, SC). The real sticking point is the external color. This will be a daily driver so black (my favorite) is not an option. White seems to be the easiest care for but not remarkable. My practical side says this is a box on wheels, so who cares. Carmine red is beautiful but would rather have a light blue which is not offered other than PTS. Never had this problem deciding in the past so must be the Porsche disease I’ve read about. Will I regret getting white with the base wheels?

Reason: Additional info
Ordered standard white with 21" GTS wheels spec'd in gunmetal. White is gorgeous and classic, especially with red interior. I own 3 P-cars in white and love them. (chalk is my second choice)
If black is your favorite but you want something easier to maintain, consider Quartzite gray. It's dark enough to look special, has some really neat gold tones to it in the sunlight, and will hide dirt decently. Not as great as silver, but I think it shows the lines of the car better.
White...I love the way it looks but literally 75% of the cars in my area are white, black or silver. And the bug situation here (love bugs especially) means white shows everything!

Love bugs solution for S. FL: damp dryer sheet - 1 pass works like magic. Even better with PPF.

In May 2021 I was stuck between White and Dolomite Silver units sitting on my dealer's lot. I was leaning towards White but it sold so I took the Dolomite Silver unit (with black roof rails). I like the look of it and if you are looking for something with blue in it, Dolomite shows it's blue especially around the snow.

Excellent. This is the color, wheels, and body style I'm hoping to get an allocation for soon. Beautiful vehicle.
Looks like Porsche of Naples in the pic which is where I bought my '19 Cayenne.
The problem we are all having with ordering a cayenne is the limited availability at the dealers to review colors and options. I decided to stick with grey, Quartzite Grey vs Meteor Grey, as I prefer a darker color but not black. The grey has stood up well and doesn’t show the dirt too bad. There is a photo gallery thread in the stickies that has helped me a lot, thanks to everyone that has posted pictures. I have seen the silver which looks nice with the black GTS trim. I think the black trim is key to any lighter color. We do have a white BMW 3 series that looks really nice and does well with winter dirt but it really shows tar, oils and bugs.
What's people's opinion on White vs the metallic white?
Thinking to go base bold white on a gts.
Just don't want to make a mistake after spending 150k that the base white degrades the vehicle

Just received an e-hybrid in Carrera White. It’s on the cooler side of white compared to base white, but you can barely see the metallic blush. I would probably go with the base white on the next go around. Scratches and nicks on the Carrera White will be much tougher to fix.

This is a very tough call between the two whites and it has really nothing to do with $800. Both look extremly nice on a Cayenne. I had a 2019 Cayenne in Carrera White. Is it preferable over Carrera White? Yes and no. CW tends to highlight the lines of the vehicle and has just a tad more character or a "rich" look as some have described it. Standard White pops and is more bold in a white kind of way.
Either white would work for me personally but if ordering I would go with CW again. Too bad Porsche does not offer Cadillac Diamond White which is the best white I have ever seen, kinda like CW with a good does of an anabolic steroid.
Can't go wrong with Carrera White. It has more character than the standard white, as it's not as bright. To me I detect a slight grayish tone to it, and a very subtle metallic look -- very pleasant. I ordered this color for my 2017 991.2 Turbo, and my 2020 Cayenne Turbo. Right now, I'm tired of white and am going with Arctic Grey for an incoming GT.
