Just took delivery of my 2022 GTS Coupe, and wanted to see if there is a trick or something permanently disable the Auto shut off when the car comes to a stop. Having to go into the settings before every trip is a bit annoying, and coming from a 2017 Macan where there was a simple button in the console to click and it was permanently off, wanted to see if anyone here has a solution?

You can’t disable permanently but you can do short cuts:
1) Set the diamond button on steering wheel to “auto start stop off”
2) Set/put the “auto start stop off” on the Home Screen
3) Drive in Sport or Sport Plus mode. Both modes disable start stop function.

One additional option is to set Sport Chrono "Individual" to sport drivetrain but leave dampers in comfort and PSE off. Then it just takes a quick turn of the ****. But, this method means you use more fuel as the engine idle speed is higher and the transmission holds gears longer and locks out a couple of the higher gears (7, 8 I think). If I wasn't already using the diamond button for the surround view camera, I'd tie the start/stop to that button as suggested. As it is, I grudgingly poke the screen to shut the *** off each time.

Tons of options. Yet another option is to turn off *** (Red line ON) in Normal Mode and then touch the Save icon to set as Individual Mode.

You should also be able to code this off. I have it completely disabled in my 2019 Cayenne S. I could not turn it on, now, even if I wanted to (without more coding).

If you don't have access to a PIWIS or a Launch x431, you might want to ask around. Your dealer will not help you with this.

I just discovered another way to save current configuration to Individual Mode. Simply long press the Individual Mode button for about a second or two. The PCM will display “Configuration saved as individual mode”.

How do you turn off or on the start stop feature on a 2023 cayenne? I have a loaner and it isn't shutting off at stops.

Also, how do you get the mirror to 1. turn down when backing up, 2. fold in when you hold the 'lock' button on the fob it does not work on this car.

Too much complicated tech stuff!

1. This one is deep down in the menus. Here we go! Car > Options (lower right corner) > Vehicle Settings > Light and Visibility > Reversing. Check the box for “Lower exterior mirror when reversing”.









2. This one is easier: Settings > Car > Vehicle Locking System. Check “Fold in exterior mirrors when locking”.
