Default Dashboard screen won't start sometimes

Hi,
I have one 2021 Cayenne. Sometimes, the dashboard screen keeps black when I start the car. The tachometer works normally, but the other fours keep black. The problem happens every 2~3 weeks. And it will go away if I stop the car, wait for a while and restart. But it is pretty annoying,
I sent the car to dealer. They told me they cannot reproduce the problem, so they cannot fix. Is there anything I can do for this problem?

Thanks!
Eric

Does the dash come back on after a few minutes, or only after you restart?

This is not normal. Keep persistent in sending the car to the dealer. Try to record on your phone video when it happens. Complain to Porsche Corporate if you’re not successful with the dealer.

This used to happen intermittently on my '20 and the dealer did a courtesy PCM firmware upgrade even though they could not reproduce. Did you ask about that (or did they say yours was already the latest version)?

I started taking photos with my iPhone every time this happened so I could have a record to show the service advisor.

Update:
The service department cannot figure out the root problem, and decided to replace the entire dashboard. The part took 3 months to arrive. So far, everything looks normal after the replacement.

My 2008 Cayenne GTS is in similar distress. The Center Display went blank, came back to life after a few weeks, but has gone blank again. It's maddening, especially because the car has been serviced regularly and well kept.
Porsche USA told me to take it to the dealership for a diagnosis. They could not reset or repair it saying $3,100 to install a new dash would solve the problem. I am skeptical about that.
How much did you spend? Has the repair been a success? Many Thanks! Marc (CPAMarc@Yahoo.com)
