USA. No excessive taxes. Dont want to turn this into Canada vs USA but your taxes are just pretty tough to live with (and I dont mean just sales tax only). Anyways, I love Canada and Canadians a lot, so dont get me wrong please

In Texas, your sales tax would be 6.25% of the sales price minus any trade-in to offset purchase price plus minor county and state registration fees of about $100.

In Alberta right now (until January) the tax is 5% for GST, no provincial sales tax or provincial luxury tax here fortunately. The new federal tax kicks in January 1st on the dollars over $100K, which is why Canadians are talking about it now and with respect to deliveries.

Actually the federal luxury tax is still only in proposed stage, there's still a chance it will not come into effect.

Only if a recount shows the Liberals stole the election and the win is awarded to the Conservatives. Otherwise, you can count on it.

Forums ... For all we know (or care?) he could be a 16 year old adding content on his phone while sitting in a high school class. Still there are many contributors on the forum who add interesting (and sometimes valuable) comments.

20% over 100k, or 10% of total price of the car. Your choice. And logically, everybody will chose the option that makes you pay less.

The last day the House of Commons sat this year was was June 30th. The next sitting day is October 18th and there are a total of 8 weeks to introduce and pass the legislation before the end of the year. The Liberals have a minority government so they need the help of the NDP pass the proposed tax, something that won't be a problem I'm sure. Oh, well.

Oh, you can bet your booty they will push this through asap. The NDP are already salivating to "stick it to the rich" again.
