Default Pricing advice on GTS coupe

Hi, I have been shopping around for a custom build cayenne GTS coupe. I havent negotiated too hard, but definitely have asked for a deal out of the gate. The best one I am getting is 4.25% off MSRP. I still cant really tell if that is good or not, I really wanted 6.5%, but some dealers have just said we're not discounting a dime and thats that. Truecar is tricky and not perfect, but does show buyers getting 5%+. This will be my first porsche and I wanted some more experienced buyers to weigh in if possible, and help make my experience a little bit better. Of course, plan is to pay it forward! As you can imagine, since you guys also do the math, each % is big dollars on these ~$136k cars!

If I got 4.25% off I would take it, 2% difference is an extra 3k. which is nice but in a 150K purchase shouldn't be a deal breaker. And I doubt you'll find better currently. I was expecting around 2-3% to be honest.

I would add PDCC and Surround View drop Power Sunblind, Heated Windshield (climate based, I am in in socal) and soft close doors and HUD. Rest of your build is very nice! Just personal opinion of course.

In your orig post, I saw the $156k number and thought 'jeez, he ticked all of the boxes'. But your build is nicely specced at $138k. Good luck getting an allocation.

$156K is a lot of $ for any SUV...for that coin, it may be more sensible from a performance / resale standpoint to get a modestly optioned Turbo.

4% seems pretty good for an ordered GTS...i got 4% off a new one (on the lot) with MSRP $122K

I like your suggestions, the thing is i have 2 little ones and a few of these options are same as we have in our Q7, which have been clutch: soft close doors (for naps of course), sunblinds (i asked if it comes standard manual cause i dont need the power ones, but nope it doesnt). Heated windshield...this is an interesting one, but this past winter in NJ i spent forever taking the snow off the windshield, and even when i was able to do that, i couldnt clear the ice all the way off when i was driving. Was a nightmare. I'm hoping this will take care of those situations which happen a fair amount. Car will be in garage, but we have lots of family that we visit. Tell me more about PDCC if you can. What im hearing is if you dont track your car, you cant really feel it?

Nitrogen fee is just dealer greed money, although $199 isn’t quite as bad as some. Here’s a good article that arms you with valid counter-arguments against the dealer’s feeble sales pitch. Good luck in your negotiations!

https://www.edmunds.com/car-buying/s...-nitrogen.html

This dealer charged a $398 nitrogen fee on a $21K Toyota Corolla. Greed redefined.

That is helpful, turns me off a bit. I thought about this, and what im going to do is say ok to the fee in exchange for the porsche all weather floor mats. Sending that email tonight, will let you know how it goes

I got a 5% discount off my $111K Cayenne S order two weeks ago.
Don't expect delivery till late June or so.
This is a purchase, not a lease. Hence, no Porsche financing.

You are very lucky getting any discount in the USA. Here in the UK no discounts at all are available on a GTS Cayenne.
