I activated wireless carplay, i disabled start/stop, i turned off seatbelt chimes, enable 3d view, changed the number of signal from 3 to 5, changed the the top speed on the cluster etc. Everything was good till few days ago when i tried to activate the comfort options to open the roof from the keyfob.

At my car, when i press and hold the lock button all the windows and the roof were closing.

When i press and hold the unlock button, only the windows were opening, the roof didnt do anything.

I’ve entered rear end electronics and started to code the ones saying roof. After multiple hours, i managed to find it and everything works just fine, except a new problem:

I can’t open or close the car via comfort access anymore, by touching the sensor on the handle. I didn’t code anything else, just the ones saying roof and i don’t know where to enter to activate this option again. Please help!

Later edit: i saw that also the button that closes the lid and locking the car, doesn’t lock the car, just close the lid and also i think the sensor to open and close the lid with the foot doesn’t work anymore. The car is dirty but i tried several times and it doesn’t work i think this is also deactivated.

Reallly need help, thank you! Where should i go to see all the comfort access options ?

Just do PIWIS Automatic coding on BCM2 [46], It will code the car back to factory setting.

Your post made me go down a rabbit hole; from what I have seen it's a manual effort (re: Taycan here: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/th...taycans.20335/ )

Has anyone coded their trailer control unit? Looking to install next month and not sure if it can/should be coded offline. The instructions also mention programming the Lane change assist control unit, calibration.
Thanks for any assistance.

In case you kept the settings, be aware that, on opening, the sunroof doesn't open until the windows are fully open. This way, you can choose to not open the sunroof with the windows. To get the car to lock, it's just a button press. Simple press to lock/unlock, long press to open/close the windows/sunroof. Sounds like you're experiencing the normal behavior.

Everytime I have tried front/intersection assist it fails. I select JX1 and autocode pretty much the same things as for LKA/ALK but always fails on the ZFAS. Not sure if it has to be done manually.

Coding for correct display of coolant temperature on the 9Y0 Cayenne appears to require one additional step. Thanks to Kaefer for showing me a 992 thread where this is discussed. On older Porsches you have to go into the instrument cluster module and the coolant data section and make X1, X2, X3, X4....values = the out-putted values Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4.... However on the 9Y0 and 992 that's not enough; the temp is still buffered at 194F. Moreover X did = Y on my car already. This next step is apparently necessary:
Go into "instrument Cluster," then "Coding Value" then "Extended Codings II," then "Coolant Gauge" and change the value from ITM to Standard.

The temp gauge reads actual temp until you get to 194 degrees and then it doesn’t go any higher. Not sure what happens if it truly overheats, but 194 is where it stays all other times.

If you are able to do the coding I mentioned you can see where it really resides. With in-town driving on our Cayenne S today (ambient temp about 70F) I am getting 205 to 217F. The fact it gets above 212 is a little scary. No wonder they buffered it to sit at 194F. It probably is a little lower at highway speeds. Will check on that tomorrow.

Please keep the feedback coming! And if you wanted to provide even MORE feedback you could disconnect the electrical connector on the water pump solenoid and take note of the (likely much cooler) operating temps!

Thank you for this. I use Thinkdiag and the menus are a bit different. Instead of "Coding Value" you choose "Rule Coding" but all else is basically the same. I have made the simple change and now it is a real gauge. I just took a 7 mile drive, and it is a 73 degree morning, and saw 216 degrees! Man this Hot Vee engine gets warm! I have the base with one turbo, so I can image with two, the numbers would get even higher in a load condition. I'm sure Porsche used this approach to keep the customers from worrying too much but how hot it gets.

Does anyone know what temperature the engine overheat light comes on? How hot Porsche considers to be too hot?
