The lane keep assist uses the windshield camera to "see" the road marks and actively steer the wheel. The latter may be present in all cars, but I don't recall another function besides this one that yields the car actively steering the wheel. So that may or may not be present, rolling back to the situation above. Only now Porsche is rolling out self parking, which clearly uses that. I'll know more when I try that one in the cayenne.

When you plug in the external power/charger:
- What output voltage are you selecting (since E3's use a lithium battery)?
- Where are you connecting the power? The terminals used for "emergency starting" under the hood?

14.7v in the hood leads.

Thanks - one other note - I believe your friend gave you this picture earlier (as seen in another thread). I found some meaning behind the Auto Start/Stop codes in another thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...l#post16375103
Here are the possible factory settings/option codes. In Europe all Cayenne have 7L8 factory setting.
  • 7L4 Start/stop system "last mode"
  • 7L6 Start/stop system "default off"
  • 7L7 Without start/stop system
  • 7L8 Start/stop system "default on"

thank you very much , i already have the lane change assist with the self parking so I don’t think any hardware is missing , hopefully i can activate the lane keep assist only by coding without any errors 🌹🌹🌹

1. Did you find an option to activate "Active park assist" in your car?
2. What do you mean : "full music access with CarPlay in motion" ?

Music lists are limited in motion. Try scrolling the artist list on the music app and it will go only a few. Same for keyboard in motion for all apps.

I would love to have full access to CarPlay and the PCM while in motion and I hope this becomes widely available some day!

The line on PIWIS mentions as a NHTSA requirement, so I wouldn't expect it to happen.

Has anyone got innodrive? If so, is it possible for you to get the hardware and software numbers from both the Radar and front camera?

Looking at a possible retro fit but need to know what equipment is required.

@John Mclane What version of PIWIS 3 have you been using when you've been able to code things? 39.7, or something older?

39.7, which coding doesn't work (I think my car version is old?) and 38.2 which works fine

Thanks - reading another thread where you were posting, that was my main takeaway. I think I am having the same exact problem with my 2019 Cayenne and my 2021 Macan. Gotta figure out how to get what you're running (which I guess won't work at all on my Macan).

Mine came with both installed as 2 different OS. I can choose as it uploads (still on bios). Check it as it starts if it gives you the option. The default is 39, which Doesn't work for me module by module but it works to activate optionals.

Make sure you have engineer mode (several YouTube videos with that). Diagnostics-F7 (additional menu)- maintenance data- press next until the list of options populate in German.

Choose the option you want to try (drop down menu). Use google translate if German is an issue. I took pictures so I could bounce back in case of errors. Save (F8). Press next until you see a screen that has automatic coding option. I think I have similar instructions earlier in this thread. The PIWIS will recode all modules automatically. After that (it can take a bit), run for errors, erase faults. If modules are missing, it won't work, obviously.

Very important to trace your steps so you're able to revert. The start stop option on that menu deletes the icon. The car behaves as there is no start stop strategy. For research purposes only, of course. Matrix headlights (option 8G4) is there too but I think there's calibration involved to fully work. Garage pilot, IPA, innodrive are possibilities with proper hardware, still need work to confirm. I want to try to activate sport chrono and PSE. I'm not sure if the hardware on a base cayenne is enough. On the 992 there are rumors that at least the PSE can be activated (use the valves on the standard muffler).
