The car is a 2024 base with air suspension and PASM, Premium Package Plus, and a few doodads. I traded a 2019 Cayenne Turbo for it - I'm half German and (really) enjoy horsepower, but the Turbo's fun place is above 90 mph. Doing that with a 5000 lb vehicle is tiring. The new car has a little over 4000 miles now including a desert camping trip in the Mojave, and a few days in the Zion National Park area. I enjoy it more than the Turbo, finding it lighter and nimbler.
The car is White. I like it better (it's brighter) than the Turbo's Carrara White Metallic. 22" wheels, Yokohama Advan tires at 285/40 front and 315/35 rear (The Turbo's were the same size, but int 21") Local roads are bad so on the test ride I found a really bad one I am familiar with, the new car did noticeably better on it than the Turbo.
See, it's bright! The wheels do look gaudy, for about 20 minutes. Their finish is not perfect and I need to bring that up with the dealer. The window tint is locally legal, I like how it limits the car to two colors. The Turbo had Rear Wheel Steering; I once had a `22 base for a loaner and hated the wider turning radius. I checked that out on the test ride and found the `24 turns as sharp as the Turbo with RWS.
I wish it had PDCC, but that was one of the things I felt made the Turbo a little too bad a$$ for my temperament...
I don't recall the Turbo having a speaker there. The new Bose does sound different. I'd like to replace it, someday.
Everything moved. Learning where things moved takes time. I like the gear selector on the dash, though I miss resting my wrist on the console shifter. The Cruise Control lever now follows VW norm - up for faster, down for slower, forward to cancel, aft to resume. The car does not have Sport Chrono, the little **** on steering wheel comes with all Cayennes now. I find the changes simpler and easier to operate.
The Chalk (light white/gray) leather seats have not shown the slightest need to be treated special.
I installed the license plate today and found that Porsche really did go cheap. They even put their name next to it.
