finally, is the hood uninsulated as you expected?
Hood was uninsulated but is already insulated. I bought soundproofing for the hood, it is not expensive and the installation itself takes 30 seconds because the set includes mounting clips. I didn't like the "naked" engine hood.
Had my Coupe for about 10 days, where I am in the UK it has been raining non stop. On the day I purchased I got soaked just taking pictures whilst still in showroom as I has to stand outside to take them. It cleared up for about half an hour when I got home so managed to get another couple of photos thankfully as it's now covered in mud spatters like it's been on a rally. Time to get the G-Tech cleaning products out that I got given. I am absolutely loving it, it's the first new car I've bought for ten years and the advancement in on-board tech is a bit bewildering at first have coming from a 2014 Range Rover Sport but once you work out how to turn off all the alerts, the stop start, the lane assist etc it's a dream to drive.
Should have made sure the door was properly closed for this one!

No, it's just a matter of my sense of aesthetics. Because I had the impression that something was simply missing when I looked at the empty mounting holes intended for mounting the soundproofing mat.
After 17 years of my loyalty to Audi, it was time for a change. The Cayenne Turbo Coupe e-Hybrid has arrived. I hope it will be as reliable as Audi and will give me even more driving pleasure. At least I am still loyal to VAG, although Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe 63S was very close. Finally I decided to cancel my order on MB and go with Porsche.
Here is my new toy:
