After 17 years of my loyalty to Audi, it was time for a change. The Cayenne Turbo Coupe e-Hybrid has arrived. I hope it will be as reliable as Audi and will give me even more driving pleasure. At least I am still loyal to VAG, although Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe 63S was very close. Finally I decided to cancel my order on MB and go with Porsche.
Here is my new toy:
congratulations! I’m curious how were u able to get the side toggles for adjusting the car seats in silver as it used to be prior to 2024 models. It looks more premium , not sure why the current model comes in black plastic …

Good catch. I would like to hear if bright finished seat buttons have returned. Black matte plastic buttons look cheap and not befitting the vehicle.

No, silver seat buttons didn't return. These are aluminium covers from Ali. As I have Silver Shadow trim option i have decided to install them. They look exactly as OEM.

Saw the whole article...goddayum shame and loss of a good GT car! . Yep had paper tags on it...just issued. Wonder if SAMCRAC or one of the YouTubers will grab it up! Good as new...it'll all buff out! Looks like they already started with the lube for clay barring it!

i am waiting for more detail on this one. we had another porsche up here smashed in the Fall. The chick slid thru an intersection sideways going over 100mph. her passenger was killed. then the chick fled to china. sad business. the U.S. is asking her to come back and face the charges. i doubt that will happen.

Yes saw that one also. Too much car for her or her skill level. and then jumped on first flight outta dodge as I heard it and left parents and everyone else holding the bag. Was a student at UofWash wasn't she?

i realize i am at risk of a rant…she left by driving across the border to canada, then flying out from there. everything said she was a Chinese national. if she was attending the UW, that is common, but a lot of times those individuals are also US citizens. What happens is years before the parents come over on a visitation visa, while the mom is late term pregnant, then they have the baby here. the baby is then also a u.s. citizen. then they go back to china, fast forward 18 years and the kid pumpkins at a university as a new student. the reason it is so desirable is that they 1) do not have to pay out of country tuition which is 3x the normal rate. 2) if the parents are well connected, as they typically are in those cases, they also can buy US assets in the child’s name and those assets can’t be repatriated back to china. 3) it is foot in the door for the parents to retire to the U.S. and escape the ccp. it is just another of the many scams on the U.S. done by people from other countries where the US loses. not to mention, the driving culture in china is not compatible w the west. if you haven’t been there you really don’t understand how different the driving culture is. if you have you know what I am taking about and the blatant disregard for the rules of the road and safety of others is really at the bottom of their list. it is a very self centered driving culture with horrific accidents regularly.
i just feel if you go to live in another country it is incumbent upon you to try to appreciate/respect the culture of that other country. otherwise, don’t go there.
