Glad it worked out, Jeffrey. The privacy glass is standard equipment and already has a dark tint — blocks 70% to 80% of the total light. Ironically, the optional thermal glass blocks less light than the standard privacy glass.
From Porsche:
With privacy glass, all windows behind the B-pillar are heavily tinted. This tinting reduces visible light to below 20 per cent for the rear side windows (below 30 per cent in combination with the thermally and noise insulated glass) and below 30 per cent for the rear window.

Washed the car today after 3 days of constant rain. Couldn't resist taking a photo!

I hope you guys aren't going to a car wash even if it's "Hand wash" They swirl the paint... If you can't do it yourself you should be hiring a detailer to come weekly to your home to wash it.

Thats exactly why I dont trust anyone but myself to "hand wash". Professional detailers charge too much for a quick wash so for now doing it myself.

Well, Shuga, yes and no.. The liftgate-window and rear-doors' windows are indeed 'smoked', the rear doors more than the liftgate; I think they call that something like 'privacy glass'.. All 3 of those already-rather-dark glasses had TWO layers of film on them, making them near black. We didn't measure it, but I'd guess they were transmitting only 5 - 10% of the light.. Here's a pic of the three removed films showing their layers.
That on the left was on the liftgate window while the center and far-right-hand ones were on the door windows.. 'Tis no wonder to me that I couldn't see thru them.. Here are views thru the door and liftgate flims-or-not.. The frontdoor window is filmed with a 35%, AZ-legal, 'ceramic' film by SunTek; the rear door is just smoked..
Here's what the liftgate's original 'smoke' looks like; that's plenty dark for me.. 😁

I do it myself as well, I actually find it fun. But yes pro detailers charge way to much. Someone would make a **** ton of money if they made it a fair price per wash.

A legit touchless carwash would do well on a ceramic coated car but in Phila area, there's none. As you said something like that could be a nice side income for a detailing shop and doesnt need any labor

Finally arrived on 6/20
The 18 ways are very comfortable
This was almost a yearlong journey for us. The first order went down with the Felicity Ace. We were fortunate to find this beauty at Umansky Porsche in North Milwaukee and drove it back to DC last week (May 21st).

That looks almost identical to what I have speced out. How many gloss black options were added to contrast the Midnight blue? Looks like the wing and sport design in gloss black options… would love to see some photos of the car in bright sun…

The color is Jet Black Metallic. I’m glad we got this before it was discontinued as it matches the 992 C4S!
