Title: Noise Symptom - Squeaking Noises at Low Speed From the Rear Axle Area
Symptom: Squeaking noises can be heard from the rear axle area at low speed or slight brake actuation.
Cause: Touching the brake pad and brake calliper at certain points can cause the squeaking noise.
Fix: Repair kit for rear PSCB brake pads – contains adhesive pads. In the event of a customer complaint and if workshop campaign WKF8 has already been carried out, attach adhesive pads to the back of the brake pads.
Complete document attached.

I took my Cayenne and dealer could not duplicate the issue. I’m like really?

Same issues for me. Up here in the SF area. I brought the car in to the Redwood City Porsche dealer, but no squeaks, so they said they checked everything and there are no issues.
So, I am not sure what to do, except that if it is really bad, and I can drive up to the dealer, and it still squeaks, then show them at that point.
But it's really embarassing to have this car squeel so annoyingly.

Has anyone simply switched over to the regular iron discs (out of own pocket), just because you got tired of this squeaky problem that dealer can’t fix ?
The regular discs are fairly inexpensive per se, the pads are believed to be the same as the ones used on the pscb.

My squeak is predominately from the front brakes.
constant squeak for 50,000 miles now.
backing out of garage, coming to red light, parking….whatever the braking the occasion they squeak constantly.
I even asked my dealer to replace the pads but they said they are back ordered until May.
I have no trust that this issue will be corrected before I sell this vehicle in 2 years.

Porsche released an updated Advanced Technical Information document, dated 30 March 2022, addressing brake squeal. It details a new technique that uses a frequency analyzer to help pinpoint the source of the squeal.
Also contains a wealth of technical information on brake squeal causes and fixes. Well worth the read.

PSCB is annoying for me on the front side squealing at low/minimal speeds, but I do like the stopping power + no brake dust + white calipers

Going back to the dealer for a oil change. Will tell them that my brakes are still squealing even with new pads. Its still horrible. They make noise even if im not applying brakes. It sound like a old Lada rusting. You in a 200k truck rolling on the main street and you have to roll up the windows and hide your face soo no one reconize you. Soo stupid to have these brake on this car.

Hey guys,
came back from the dealer.
1st they said the noise was normal. Lol.
after i send my video of the noise.
they changed everything in the back. 2 new rotor+ new pads.
they was some rust underneath or behind the rotors.
new they squeak, but little normal squeak.
this is acceptable. I find.
before was crazy noisy.
see video.

I've got all the same issues on my 21 Cayenne GTS...I've had Front Pads replaced, but they haven't addressed the Rear. Did the rotation squeal come from the Rear Brakes?

my brake squeal seemed to come from the passenger rear. frankly was REALLY embarrassing coming to a stop sign.
However - after having brought it in to the dealer for various work...hitch, oil/plugs...and mentioning the squeal, the brake squeal has pretty much disappeared. I also changed winter 21's to summer tires 22's myself as well, did some towing with a 6x12 uhaul.... All of this seems to have eliminated the loud squealing. I still get a tiny bit, just once so far.
Porsche said they did nothing to the brakes. So for now, I'll take it.
If it comes back, I'll bring it back in. Its a CPO and has an extended "porsche" warranty I bought from the dealer.
Good luck with it. But still...its a cool car!

So I had this issue on my F10 M5. The breaks were constantly squealing. Dealer tried a few things but it seemed to never work. I was on the M5 forum and this was a complaint similar to how it is here. Not everyone experienced it but a lot did. Someone recommended on the forum to try Meguiars Wheel and Tire cleaner (purple bottle). So the next time I washed it I used the wheel cleaner and sure enough the squeal went away. It wasn’t a permanent fix by no means but when it did come back I would wash the wheels and apply the cleaner by the instructions on the bottle and the noise goes away. Like I said not a permanent fix but it worked and it kept my wheels looking pretty good from the black break dust. While I don’t have this issue with my Porsche (PCCB) I thought I would share to see if it may work for others, Worked for my M5 and several others on the forum.
