Default 2019 Cayenne Rear Window Wiper Cover

Hi all,
I have just picked a beautiful new Biskay Blue Cayenne S, have now been driving for one week, only issue is the rear window wiper black cover comes off VERY easily, I believe this is a fault as all other Cayenne’s in the dealership had the same issue. Has anyone else experienced this? When will there be a fix?

Congrats on the new ride! Can you show us some pics and give a review? Did you own a cayenne previously? If so, how does it compare? I'm looking to get an "S" but still just not sure. Thanks!

How’s the car? I’d love to hear about it. You picked a sharp color combo with those RS Spyder wheels. I’d really like your thoughts on the Sport seats. We switched back to them on our latest (and hopefully final) build. They just look so darn awesome. Gave up the massagers for my creaky old back.

Re: wiper arm cover, I saw a YouTube video a while ago from a guy who took delivery of a white S somewhere in the desert (UAE maybe). His cover disappeared one day. He thought somebody ripped it off, but if your experience is anything to go by, it probably just rattled into the roadway.

JB Weld is your friend!

Hey there,

This exact observation brought me to this forum, yesterday morning I tried to lift the wiper to shove off the snow and the plastic cover came off the moment I touched it, gave me a chill about the quality of new facelift.

wondering if you have found a solution to this yet ? Hope you are enjoying the beauty 🙂.

Good Day

I remember the first generation Cayenne had the same problem of rear wiper cap falling offf easily, on my 2nd generation Cayenne the design is different and mine never came off, so it seems the problem is coming back again.

Poorly installed at port, but easily fixed. See thread below.

https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...r-problem.html

To quote myself quoting myself:

"Sorry to quote myself. From 'Undercover Turbo Snuck In':
Don't forget to remove your wiper arm cover and reattach it properly by snapping on the end guide to the right first, then rotating it down to the left until it clicks on. Ours was sort of laying on there, just like nearly all the other Cayennes and Panameras at our dealer. How hard is it to ensure this happens at the factory, Porsche?)”

Does anyone know if putting a Macan rear wiper or maybe an Audi SUV one would fit but also be able to lift off the widow for cleaning / blade changing ??????

That's a shame. Your dealer should've reattached it properly as part of PDI. Shoddy work all around.
