When ordering these, just make sure to get the right figment for your PiG as the V6's and V8's take different tips (it's a different length pipe to connect to your muffler). There are also different finishes and the pictures don't always line up with the described finishes, so just make sure to order by the description not by the picture ...
I'm thrilled with mine in brushed SS, and I'll probably PlastiDip them in black to match my new blacked-out rear emblems

Painted my factory tips on my diesel (which gets far hotter than any gas model when it cleans the particulate filter) with PlastiDip sometime ago (a year at least) and they still look great.
Simply try to touch the polished part after a good drive (hour?). It you can touch it, PlastiDip will work. If it's too hot, then yes heat resistant paint will be needed.

Since you're the resident expert on PlastiDipping exhaust tips (I haven't graduated beyond my rear emblems yet...), can you post up a pic of the tips from the rear of your PiG (looking directly at them)? I'm trying to see how they look from behind before I pull 'em off and dip 'em myself

I wouldn't say I'm an expert. The tips are all I have done. I want to do the PORSCHE as that is the last silver on the car, but I keep chickening out
Apparently they are almost 2 years old at this point!

Awesome, thanks man .... you've inspired me to make this my project for next weekend . Thanks for sharing your other post on you DIY for the tips, I hope mine can come out looking like this set of quad tips:
My first (and only) PlastiDip experience was my rear emblems this past weekend and it was pretty straightforward. I took my time, gave it 12-14 minutes between coats, with a little help from the wife's hairdryer as it was a bit cool in the garage (which my wife did NOT find amusing!). I ended up doing a total of 7 coats. Layering up made it easy to peel the dip off, although getting all the little bits out between the "E", "A" and "Y" was a bit finicky (toothpicks made it easier to pick out the smaller sticky bits). Just make sure to use more newspaper than you think you need to avoid unnecessary overspray and I ended up with some overspray on my lower bumper that I had to wipe off.

I bought the ones from Amazon and installed them yesterday. I like the look!
*Don't know why the pics look cloudy
Question though. My car is a V6, but the exhaust ports are the ones nearer the rear of the vehicle. Why aren't the ports at the front hole where the V6 are supposed to be? It's a 2014.

I actually bought my Quad tips from this same Chinese seller for my V8, and he sells multiple versions: V6 (longer pipe), V8 & TT (shorter pipe), and in multiple finishes. Just search for this seller (or the many others on Amazon) and you’ll see a range of options for the longer pipe V6 versions. Good luck, and post up pics of what you end up with
