No increase in speed of any kind but it eliminated all hesitation from the transmission and it hunting/hesitating/delaying the shifts. Smoothed out the diesel engine and pretty much negated every undesireable trait from the diesel fix.

I've been following this thread for a while and I need a little help. I recently put PSE on my 958.2 CTT. I have the original chrome quad tips and was curious if they were worth anything and would they be interchangeable for the Cayenne and Cayenne S models. You guys seems to have a lot of information about aftermarket and OEM tips, and I would value your opinion.

If I'm not mistaken (and I often am) - the exhaust from the base and S (and diesel) models exit the muffler via a single exit pipe - that then Y's off into the dual tips. The turbo has two exit holes and two pipes - one for each tip.

Normally aspirated exhaust

Turbo exhaust

So my WAG - they would be of no use to owners of non-turbo Cayennes, unless they already put on one of the dual tip systems and just wanted different tips.

You are correct. The single ports used from the muffler are different too and maybe dependent on model year. For 2014, the V6 used the port closer to the rear and CD uses ports closer to the engine. Someone with a non-turbo could still use the tips. The inner tips can still be attached with the clamps but would be cosmetic, no exhaust would exit. Unless...there is a thread here about opening the port and if that would still result in PSE on continuosly.

The inside of my OEM tips are sorta black and I can't scrub them clean. Was hoping to find a similar set in all black (inside tips) to weld on. Don't care about the shape. Any other options for CD?

Great thread. I have a 2014 CTTS with the rectangular sport tips. Unlike most, I would rather have the quad round tips in black. If anyone has any for sale I would be interested!!

i just did the black tips on the wife's 2012 base cayenne. her oem tips were attached to the rearmost port on the muffler. 130 mm long.

the ones i bought were listed on ebay as for the v8 but i went by their measurements and they fit great.

one bolt per side, 15 minutes. totally worth it.

I purchased new chrome tips for my diesel but couldn't get the existing tips off because of a bolt head I've never seen before. Can anyone offer advice on what type of ratchet head is needed? Thanks!

Looking to add gloss black exhaust tips. Is this Wotefusi still recommended? Any others? How hard is the installation?
