Help with comments on this Cayenne I am looking at
Hi Folks,
So my search for a CD continues. I found this one with air suspension and PASM that can be a good car if we can come to an agreement on price. I do have two questions.
1. One of the front calipers paint is faded and looks worn for 44K miles. Can it be from heat cycling when towing? Sales guy claims that previous owner only used the hitch as a bike rack. I have the two front calipers pics attached below.
2. The air suspension options here pictured. Is there a way you can see from the controls that it has PDCC?
Thanks all

The brake caliper looks like a harsh cleaner was used. I don't think it's from heat cycling.

Just an FYI, I picked up a CPO'd 2011 at 44% with 15k odo, with PDCC, PTV+, Burmester, ACC, Crests, 14 way seats, entry & drive, no pano, no roof rails.

Yeah. Am looking at both 2011+ CTT and 2013+CD as options. Both have pros and cons so will have to wait for the right car to pull the trigger.
CD
I can't see value for CDs to go much lower than $20K over the next 4-5 years. This means only additional $20K of depreciation from '13s.
CTT
I can see value drop down to $20K over the next 4-5 years which means there is more depreciation dollars to be had even if the depreciation % is the same as the CD from '11s..
CDs all have CPO where as CTTs don't. However CTTs are typically bullet proof. CTTs have cam adjuster screw issue and CDs have the adblue complexity parts that needs maintenance.
Inventory is a bit thin now so will keep a close lookout..

Hey RAudi,
Correct. I had been looking for better part of 6 months when this 2012 CTT came up even closer to home than the 3 prior I had missed out on. Bought it up in Harrisburg PA.
It was a $150k MSRP and was loaded by the 1st owner who traded it in on a new 2016 CTTS. I received all maintenance history, and it had clearly been driven only in nice weather. The underbody looked like new. yes only 16k miles. AND it came with the pre-paid 5 year PSMP (that service transfers to next owners), so in the past 1.5 yrs I've owned it, I have paid nothing for all the services done thus far. I was glad this one was not CPO, which would have raised the price about $3k anyway, so I was much happier it had the PSMP. It was originally built & sold back in June of 2012 (I bought it in Feb 2015), so it was a late build,... which helped me a lot, cuz the PSMP was still good for 1.5 yrs more of my ownership.
Anyway, this thing was loooooaded. It had also been given a full front end XPel Ultimate treatment, too, so that was a bonus. It's a Turbo, but came with the GTS aero kit (called the Sport Design Package back then), and the bottom half of the mirrors were also painted white to match (don't see that too often). Two tone Espresso/Cognac interior with Yachting Mahogany stripped wood accents, Burmester sound, Aluminum Shifter upgrade, Pano, Crests all around (including the "Turbo" insignia on the center console leather), 21's, Premium Pkg + 4-Zone Climate, Roof Rails, Tow Hitch, and both front & rear blacked out headlights & tail lights.
I posted some exterior pics of it over on Post # 1221...

It was basically brand new w/ only 16k miles on it (& really only 2.5 yrs old), and so yea, I thought getting it at 50% off MSRP was a damn good deal. And that was 1.5 yrs ago. I would think it could be even better now.

^^That's a great looking car. Good deal also. Did you manage to get the PDCC and/or PTV+ with it? PTV+ not that big of a deal. PDCC good stuff.

Oh yea, forgot to list that. Yes it has PDCC & PTV. That was mandatory on my search list.
I was not getting a CTT that did not have it. Must have IMO.
Oh, & I forgot it has the rear seat entertainment DVD system too (but my kids are off in college now, so I forget it's back there).
chsu74, If I can sway your opinion a bit,... the CTT is a incredible buy. If you can live without having a Hybrid,.. this vehicle does it all IMO. I Tow with it, AutoX it, throw all my kiteboarding gear & hockey gear in it,.. and it's a great people mover.
... a few more pics to tantalize.

I think the only option you didn't get was the PCCB's. you got a great one. Nice Job. sorry to thread jack.

Thnx RAudi. I admired your '11 CTT purchase last month, and very much like yours too. (Oh & another option I WISH I had is the PSE. Stock muffler sound is too docile)

Nice find! You've owned it for a month now,.. any words of "purchase" wisdom for OP chsu74?
And no, hopefully chsu74 doesn't take this as a thread hijack. Hoping this discussion will give OP much to think about with decision. Especially since he posted question on PDCC & how to identify it.
Re: PDCC Identification: @chsu74 - If you are looking at older models with the silver console buttons, a PDCC equipped 955 up to 957 Cayenne will have the letters "PDCC" imprinted on the console, as shown in this pic...

Otherwise if you are looking at a 958, you'll need to pop the hood & look for the PDCC reservoir, drivers side just under the plastic shield (up near the battery jump posts).
