@D.L.Jehu I'm a sales coach, so ignore everything I say.

That having been said...I trust the chassis manufacturer to design/build a robust hitch that matches the stated towing capacity.

...Not that Curt can't build/overbuild a similar part...but the VAG engineers have essentially one platform as their design target, while Curt has thousands.

It *shouldn't* matter to you if you're only going to hang a bike rack off it...but if you're towing something heavy...

Also, if I were buying a used Cayenne I would prefer OEM rather than aftermarket.

So there *may* be a small resale impact down the road...

I broke out the camera after having a friend detail the car and took some proper photos.

Would you mind sharing your search process to find the car? I'm looking for a 958 diesel cayenne with air suspension but haven't had much luck over the past few weeks. Would prefer mileage below 80,000. There are a couple available that mostly fit the bill but none I've found thus far with the air suspension which I would strongly prefer having had it on prior Land Rovers

I was cold calling owners. It took 17 "no" before I got an "everything has a price".

I will say, condition is much more important than mileage. This Cayenne has 146k miles but looks like it has 46k. It's been extremely well taken care of and is from the south. Being flexible and fast with cash is the only way I know how to get the rare cars.

Beautiful CD. You will love it. These cars are amazing....and they are rare. The response from the throttle is impressive. Not very often does one see a build like yours. The pics are fantastic.

Love my 2015 CD, put 23k miles in a matter of months. Crazy mpg and distance on tank of diesel. Just deleted it( dpf/EGR+tune) will see how much better she is and how much cleaner the intake/what section is. Love it want another for wife.

Towed back our new 996 Turbo from Chicago this weekend. I do love this Cayenne!

I've always towed 996s on trailers with them facing forward, not backward. Were the tongue weights OK with your setup?

Yep! Towed great! Had a few heavy braking instances and a 75mph banked bridge with potholes that the setup handled very well.

Another Minnesotan here considering a Cayenne Diesel. Any additional insights after having your vehicle for a while?

I recently picked up a moonlight blue ‘15 CD. Live the color! Mine is black interior. What about yours?

should have bought it sooner.

Air suspension is awesome, and get one deleted/tuned or do it yourself.
