Brake pedal does not return
#31
In my case the problem happened after fluid change, my car is Cayenne S V8 2012.
But the failure behavior is a little different, it never happened when the car was running or driving. My problem happens after park the car and leave it for a few hours and always in a very hot situations.
I'm trying to understand the problem. I'm going to do some tests and replace the fluid again, using Motul RBF 700. As soon as I have an update I'll post the results to help other owners with this same problem.

It picks up moisture too quickly which in turn lowers its spec/performance, which is fine for a car that gets its brakes frequently bled like a track car, but not a favorable attribute for a Cayenne getting its fluid changed every 2 years.

My first really hot day since owning the car and my break pedal is doing the same. Absolutely fine in normal weather and over a 4 hour drive. It is also making my auto box gear changes very odd

Appear to have same issue-- 2013 GTS-visual inspection for the circlip appears to be installed so not a recall situation. Pedal does not come back up and requires me to lift the pedal back up with my foot. Otherwise, there is still brake pressure being applied. T2SSYY - your auto gear changes are feeling the brake pressure being applied -hence the cars acceleration is compromised--so car rpms stay in a much higher range before shifting to the next higher gear.

Only in hot weather
had is many summers ago and would hold the brakes on. It turned out to be a mechanical issue in the lever mechanisn.
Hi all, i have a cayenne 3.0tdi 2012 EU version with a problem in the brake pedal, when I start it in the morning the brake pedal works correctly, when the engine temperature reaches 90 ° the brake pedal is sunk about 3cm, I have to put my foot under it and lift it, I have changed the brake master cylinder and brake booster, nothing has changed, someone had a similar problem?
Thanks in advance.

Brought my Cayenne to the dealership yesterday for the TSB SY2713. According to the dealer, my VIN isn't part of the TSB, even though the years the TSB covers include my vehicle. Doesn't make a lot of sense as this is a critical safety issue. Dealer quoted me over +$2K to replace the brake pedal bushings which i declined .-- I requested they call PNA and get back with me.

Well my service advisor emailed me and said PNA is not covering this repair. Clearly a safety issue which involves the brake pedal maintaining braking pressure while your foot is OFF the brake pedal; worthy of issuing a TSB about it not covering the repair.
