Well, on a positive note, everyone (inc me!) is hearing the whining noise from the PDCC pump, but we don't have a single observation of this leading to a failure do we?

gawd I wish I knew this before paying a shop to “fix” this. Not fixed, just a few K bucks lighter. Then I put a few $2 plastic clips in place, fixed the bracket holding the PDCC expansion line, and it got better (not perfect, but better).

basically, if you make sure you have all the rubber grommets holding the bracket for the pdcc expansion loop, and all the plastic clips routing the lines around the a/c compressor etc., the hum should get a lot better.
