Pardon my ignorance, but who is Michael Bernado? Where/how would one get a warranty from him?

@FelixP he is one of the many providers of Fidelity, we offer the same Fidelity warranty service contracts at a cheaper price. You can contact me at tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you have any questions, would like a quote or to see an example contract that explains coverage.

Going back a few posts, "re-read the coverage closely...$10K is a lot for an extended warranty on a car that will be worth $28-$30K in two years...on the other hand I intend to just keep driving it."

Any major repair will be cost justified? But a $10k warranty or a $15k repair on $20k car makes sense?

The Platinum coverage is expensive. The Gold is half that, which I will be putting on my CS when the CPO coverage expires.

As I mentioned before the $4500 drivetrain warranty on my Q7 already paid for itself. Feeling good about that decision.

Reading this as I'm contemplating a 2013/2014 Cayenne GTS... are there other warranty options oriented/tuned for people who don't drive very much? I only do about 4-5k miles per year, if that. I went through the link above and even the lowest/lightest warranty option is nearly $6k for 4 years/48k miles on a vehicle with 70k miles...I need something like 5 years/20k miles

Unfortunately no - Fidelity has a minimum mileage of 10,000 per year for some year/term options, and 12,000 per year for other year/term options. For 48 months, 48,000 additional miles is the minimum they will write.

We can help you! Highline Autos has two warranty providers, Fidelity and Freedom Warranty, we work both because each offers different value for different customers. For 5 years / up to 100k miles , $100 deductible, you're looking at $4,500. Top tier coverage similar to Fidelity Platinum, repairs accepted at all Porsche stores around the country. You can reach me at tgibson@highline-autos.com or (855) 924-1333 if you have any questions or would like to see an example contract that explains coverage.

It seems as though the air suspension issues would NOT be covered on a fidelity plan...I think they exclude the shocks and air bags? And the coolant breather hoses wouldn't be covered either?

Aren’t extended warranties a crap shoot?
In general, the insurance game is a crap shoot. It’s a gamble, a bet, and, like casinos, the odds overwhelmingly favor the house.”
Maybe I will discipline myself, open a “If a repair comes” savings account and credit $200 away each month.

The laws of averages indicate that a Porsche owner will have at least the amount of the extended warranty premiums in maintenance, easily in the first couple years...the question is...how much of that would be covered under the various plans out there.

And it seems that the fidelity plan that is so highly reguarded on these forums doesn't even cover the most common problem lots of porsches have, air suspension problems. Maybe I'm missing something. (likely)

Doesn't that imply a losing proposition to the insurance company?

FYI, Rennlist sponsor Fidelity Warranty Services 2022 revenue $12.7 Million. 1.5 stars on Yelp. 3.3 on 351 google reviews

Here's a good article:

Their Gold program does cover

Gold Coverage This plan covers many parts from most major systems of the car including the engine, cooling, transmission, drive axle, suspension, electrical system and air conditioning.
