Just bought a Blue GTS! Questions about next steps
Bought my first car yesterday a 2013 Blue Cayenne GTS with 72k miles! Really loving the experience so far and put in about 100 miles without any issues so far.
Since the car came with no maintenance records I want to make sure it's up to date on its maintenance, and I don't run into major problems like the transfer case issue mentioned in other posts. It's very hard to find the maintenance schedule online, but I did find a major service checklist, and I'm thinking I take this to an independent Porsche mechanic and have them take care of the items. Would people recommend I do this at a Porsche dealership instead just to play it safe? Anything else I should be doing? The oil and filter were just changed and I plan on changing the cabin filter today. Thank you in advance for the help!
Also if anyone has some recommendations for a mechanic in Long Island, NY hit me up!

Congratulations - that's a beautiful GTS! There is no reason to go to the dealer and pay 3x the price for everything, as long as you can get a recommendation to a good local indy. It's a really good idea to establish a service baseline, especially with all the fluids. Oil, TC, transmission, differentials, plus all the filters. Have your indy check out the condition of the brakes and tires and the battery, then clean out the sunroof drains. Plugs are due every 40k miles on the GTS so that should be done as well. Once you are done with this go drive the heck out of it - these are awesome cars.

lots of good Indies on LI - I use TKX performance in Huntington Station for my cars - they specialize in Porsche and to a lesser extent sporty BMWs - they service my 997TT and my Cayenne GTS. They are more motorsports oriented but all their staff have years of experience.
I would recommend Taso and his team. I'm sure others have good experiences elsewhere on LI.

Get all three transfer cases done, get those little black things that fit in the grab rails, congrats.

Thanks for the plug....and congrats on the purchase OP! Such a beauty. I've a 2013 with 170k miles on it. I'm sure yours feels almost factory fresh. Any interior photos?

@Dsandler wow that color is equally as good as your backyard!
@Chaos what kind of rims are on your car??
@z3mcoupe here are some interior pics
I just wiped it down and did some detailing with a brush but the interior is in good shape. Loving the Alcantara roof

Definitely get the transfer case fluid changed. New fluid is light amber color. Burnt fluid will look very dark. That's been a fairly common failure point. Most everyone here is now replacing TC fluid during oil changes. Very easy to do and about 10 minute job. I have a 2011 CS I bought with 105K on it. When I put it on the lift at the dealer (used car lot) I could see where mine had been replaced and looked practically new. It was stamped 2016 which was a plus in my decision to buy. There was also a problem with the Variocam bolts on the early 2011 models and actually became a recall, so if your VIN checks out for having the recall, you should be OK there.

congrats on the new (to you) cayenne. I've had mine about 6 months and similar , very few records. previous owner said 40K was done but cabin filter was filthy, adBlue was almost empty, washer fluid was almost empty too. I changed the oil myself soon after I got mine and had an oil analysis done by Blackstone . ( www.blackstone-lab.com) no affiliation other than a satisfied customer. results came back saying engine was in tip top shape. I was relieved. $30 well spent.
