Default 18 diesels nationwide.

So I decided to check on availability 2015-2016 diesels nationwide.

Porsche dealer network showed 1.
Autotrader showed 17.
CarMax showed 0.
Carvana showed 0

The face lifted 2015-2016 diesels are in small supply.

Just food for thought.

Default CD

I started searching in March of this year. Wanted either 2015 or 2016, preferably a 2016. Finally found one in August that had everything I wanted(premium pkg, trailer hitch roof rack, Bose, ) color wasn't too critical,. Bought a Black on Black 2016 CD in Denver with 40K miles. My son and I flew to Denver owner picked us up at airport, and we drove it home (12 hrs) over Labor Day weekend, fun road trip . Got to know the truck well. 34 mpg!
Lots of searching, almost settled on a 2015 located in Indianapolis Carfax listed an accident and seller knew nothing about it, I think that dealer bought it at auction. I passed.

The dieselgate stop sale came in Nov. ‘15. So, basically the whole ‘16 inventory was embargoed until the class action lawsuit was settled. Most of the ‘16 cars were not purchased until ‘18? So, you won’t see that many of them for sale. As for the ‘15, I got the feeling a lot of owners are still keeping them due to the extended warranty

Or they are so reliable that there is no reason to get rid of them

does anyone have any hard data of how many Cayenne diesels are in North America?

I have seen estimates of approximately only 11,000 of the 2013 to 2106 Cayenne “Diesels” were sold in North America. the more I read about dieselgate, figured I might stumble across some Porsche diesel # data points but no, what’s odd is Porsche rarely mentioned... understandable given so few units but I wonder what the #s really are...

where is this unicorn listed? I searched but came up empty

sidenote, I am not actively buying / searching for (another) CD but if anyone is seriously interested in this one I might be in the Temecula area the second weekend of December 11+
so if for some reason, you want me to give this unicorn a once over that might be possible

Update:

I talked to Porsche Dealership that I have a good relationship with.
I asked them about demand and availability of 2015-2016 diesels.
"They are gone before we put them on the floor,'' he said.
"Our sales people have a list of clients that want one. But current diesels owners are not
giving them up. They are holding onto them. Current owners really love them."

What about 2013-2014 diesel models? Are they also on demand?

911-997, I did a nation search for Porsche Cayenne diesels.

Model year 2013-2014.

Porsche dealer network: 0
Autotrader: 34
CarMax: 0
Carvana: 0
CarGuru: 36

Thus, 70 Diesels from 2013-2014
Again, a very small amount of diesels available.
Not as few as the 2015-2016; but, still a small supply available for sale.

Thanks for the numbers. That's actually higher number than what I expected.

i don't doubt it's true, however.... The number of times a dealer has told me that I can't even count. I might just be hunting for saught after cars LOL
