I recall paying double for my actuators.....are the OEM Porsche or? Just did my rear with the sunshade...not a tough job.

Does anyone have a write up or other details on this job? I used to have an Alldata account, but really didn’t get much value in it or use it even, so not going that route.
The replacement is a Uro part, and I made a mistake. I only paid $87 shipped. I do have another question. On several posts people talk about needing a special tool for the handle, but I don’t see anything on the video that would seem to have anything to do with the handle removal. I guess I will figure it out once I start tearing into it. This just seems like one of those jobs where I need to be super organized and take lots of pictures during disassembly to insure I reverse everything correctly on the install.
Hello very new to the forum
I just picked up a new to me 2011 Cayenne S in Meteor Gray Metallic
has few things wrong I am working through them 1 by 1
Central locking is 1
if the car was run recently all locks seem to function correctly however no chirp
but if the car is locked and sitting for over 10 min unlock on the remote only opens the driverside
but if I turn the key in the ignition and then remove all 4 will unlock with the remote
I changed all 4 lock actuators, no change
(also no siren when panic button is held)
pulled out the siren and tested in my Audi A6 and it worked fine
There is PIWIS which is the Porsche diagnostic tool. Durametric is one, a bunch of us have icarscan devices which are pretty useful for reading, less so for writing. It can reset service functions like oil change and maintenance. This is the only one I'm familiar with. It might report your issue. A lot of others here know these things and more in detail.
for those that went with the URO actuator, how are they holding up after a few years. This seems like an annoying project, so I'd prefer to only do it once.

1.5 years no problem. Another original one failed on the other passenger door, replaced it with another uro. It was a lot easier the second time I did it.
Hypothetically, what if the window regular bolts behind the 2 grommets were to snap off when attempting to loosen. What would be another way to get the door lock actuator out without loosening the window regulator as mentioned earlier in this thread.
I just did this job and found the following youtube super helpful. The only bit that is incorrect is removing the lock cable you do not pinch the white clip you need to splay it to remove.
Make sure you have a M6/6mm Triple Square/Spline socket or don't bother. I did one door without it and then got stuck halfway through the second. A fairly simple but time consuming job because of the amount of parts you need to remove and replace in a certain sequence. The second one takes half the time.
A couple of other tips:
When removing the outer door card you need to really use some force from the bottom to pull it free (outwards) to free the clips. Remember to pop the clips back to raised position before re-install.
Once I released the clamp screws that hold the glass in place the glass would not come free no matter how loose and how much a wiggled and lifted. They were fused to the rubber seats they were sitting in for 13 years. Eventually I backed off these screws (reverse threaded) that much that they popped out into the door. As it turns out they were easy to replace once the glass was lifted and taped and inner door card removed.
I think I have the same issue and hope I have landed at the right discussion ... for a while now the little beep has been missing when I lock my 2013 Cayenne. And the little red indicators on the doors have been flashing some.
Now I noticed the hazards, and side indicator lights flash occasionally and the doors attempt to lock I think.
I did an error code scan and both rear doors give a code 0843 "Central locking closing unit , implausible signal(implausible signal" .
Kind of a weird description, but I suspect the locking activators in the back doors as when I manually lock the doors with the drivers window down, the rear doors don't make a noise and the rear doors don't lock . The communications with the rear doors seems fine in that the windows go up and down and the status for each door changes when I open them.
What is an issue is I have cleared the code and disable locking on start and exit and the car continues to do this all the time and in the morning I now get a message that the "battery saver was enabled" ... So I have to run the car in the driveway to get through the night. I am thinking I will need to attach a "battery keeper".
Any idea on how I can disable this behavior ? Anything else to check before pulling the doors apart to try replacing the door lock activators ?
I am going to open up one door at a time and thanks for the details here also have Alldata DIY on the vehicle.
Also is there any reason for the rear door latch's to go or is it something to do with the door handles not being used very much or at all ?
Also both my front doors had codes to do with the mirror heaters ... I discounted these as the heaters have nothing to do with door locking which I believe the flashing hazards are trying to indicate.
you can physically lock the rear doors using the key (or a screwdriver) in the hole on the edge of the door - then when you hit lock on remote you should hear the horn chirp and all doors will be locked - you will have to do this every time you want to lock the car - the locks are operated by a small motor - i think the motor sits in one position too long and then won't operate correctly
